Can anyone recommend good scales and calipers (brands) and where is the best place to buy both online? Thanks.
 
amazon.com has a large selection of both.

I haven't bought any yet, but I've been browsing their selection for a while.
 
My LCS (local coin shop) has El Cheapo Chinese scales that weight down to 0.1 grams for about $20.

Similarly, our local hardware store has cheapo calipers.
