9/11 Silver Medal

I got a catalog in the mail from the US Mint. I'm thinking about ordering a 9/11 medal. I think it is the same composition as a silver eagle. Has anyone ever seen one in person and was it as nice as the photo in the catalog looks?

Be weary of these coins. I hear they collapse on their own footprint.
