He really seems to understand quite a bit about finance. Reminds me of George Carlin.
The video is from 1998:

Thanks SA.

Since he is a comedian, folks who do not live in Italy are not exposed to him and have little understanding of his intelligence. I believe he is much smarter than he is given credit for, so much so that the Brotherhood of Darkness are quaking in their collective boots.

I wonder if he did the same performance today if the audience would still laugh.

I've done some more research:
Turns out he is a trained accountant...
Some of the members of his movement are (former?) commies.
Seems like a mixed bag to me.

The more I hear from him, the less I like him. Read this:

We must still ask: What happened to Europe? Why do we have no common information policy, no joint tax policy, no common policy of immigration? Why has only Germany been enriched?

God beware there would be an European IRS. That would be horrible. What a stupid idea by Mr Grillo. Competition in taxation is the only thing that prevents the Eurocrats from imposing French style hate taxes.

And what the f*** is a "common information policy"? Is he talking about an EU ministry of propaganda?

Most likely information sharing among police and intelligence services. Sounds like he's ready to surrender sovereignty to the NWO.

The second sentence I agree with.
But the information sharing is already going on via Europol: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europol

I think it's about "educating" the public, ie outright propaganda. The European parliament is already paying bloggers to counter anti-EU sentiment on the internet: http://rt.com/news/eu-trolls-election-monitoring-348/

"informatino policy" in government doublespeak, quite often relates to regulating the Internet, alternative media, and all kinds of SOPAs and ACTAs.
