Holy Crap Batman! The volume on the DOW was FOUR TIMES the average volume at 430mm shares handled. this is completely out of the blue. WTF?? anyone have any ideas on what triggered this incredible increase in volume today? This is like late '08 when we had drops of 700 points then rallies of five hundred then drops of six hundred ad nauseum for months. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come. Sort of like algos on steroids.

Anyone have any ideas??:flail::popcorn:

"Fat fingers" on a Friday? Say it ain't so!

Algos probably churning over some headline somewhere.

Looking at some junior and mid-tier mining stocks that I own (e.g. GORO, SAND, ANV):

They all had 4-7 times of their 3m average volume today combined with 6-8% gains in stock prices which is an indication for massive option expiries. That's good news. Speculators are back in the juniors!
