$25 Surplus Camelbak and Swiss water bag

http://www.keepshooting.com/british-army-camelbak.html

I think these are 3 L packs with no extra storage. A replacement bladder for one of these is going to be at least $25, so this looks like a good deal.

These Swiss water bags look pretty good. I would carefully inspect and clean thoroughly before drinking from it, of course. They can be used for non-oral hygiene and washing stuff if they are too funky to drink from.

I've ordered from these guys before and they are a good outfit.

That's a hell of a deal! These are 55 dollars new for the knock-offs.

Very interesting to note they have unit identification. Western military shrinking and selling "surplus". China military growing. Things are changing rapidly for the west.

The Army/Navy/Air Force do not re-issue turn-ins. That is to say that when someone gets discharged, the stuff they turn in goes in to bins and is sold by the pound. I've gotten lots of perfectly good gear with little or no apparent wear for pennies on the proverbial dollar. The FedGov does much the same thing. At most military bases there is a unit called DRMO which stands for Defense Re-utilization Marketing Office, that is tasked with re-purposing or selling all manner of equipment and materials. Again, pennies on the dollar, and mostly perfectly good stuff. Most bases hold regular sales and auctions where general public can come in and take a shot at a pallet or two of stuff. Sometimes the stuff is simply big crates and you do blind bids on it. Those are usually the cool ones.
