Hey,

I just read that Russia is sending an anti-submarine ship and a missile cruiser to the Mediterranean, while the US wants to attack Syria!

http://news.sky.com/story/1134531/syria-russia-sending-warships-to-the-med

Watch gold and silver prices soar if this gets serious!

:noevil: Crazy politicians.

One day China and India will start sending ships here and there and then the US' policing days will be over. I don't want that to happen, I want peace, but I think this will eventually happen some day...

I see stronger bulls, the events will worsen and push gold and silver much higher.

Do I see 30+ $ silver and 1,500+ $ gold soon? I guess so!

Buy gold and silver now before it's too late!

Maybe there won't be any more dips, this was the rare opportunity to buy during the summer, now is the second best opportunity, don't miss out!

Watch the news and open your eyes!

Oh yes, the gold price is already rising! Man, that's kind of strange what happens there...

If you were a Russian Admiral would you rather be in the Arctic or the Mediterranean on a cruise? The only "sunburn" anybody is going to get is from the sun. These guys are going to have a great time with their ships and planes playing war "games". Boys with their toys as the saying goes, and the rest of us poor citizens just keep footing the bill for this silly waste of money.

From the web:
A Mediterranean cruise will take you to some of the region's more beautiful locations that are filled with plenty of history to explore. Many cruises travel to ports-of-call in Syria, Turkey, Egypt, and Libya when touring the waters of the Mediterranean. Each port-of-call offers tours through some of the area's ruins, soon to be ruins, museums and popular riot sites and usually include a chance to relax at the beach.

We'd have to be nuts (well....maybe "we - MIC" are) to attack Russia's main country of anchor in the ME, the location of their main power base there, where they are a minority already. Or maybe there's a deal in the back room. I doubt they're really fond of Assad themselves. But they surely are less fond of the insurgents...they've had their own issues with that crowd in Chechnya and not a happy ending.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you implying that we have peace now, or that there won't be peace if the US isn't the world police?

UK just said no to any Syrian military action! Really great news.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-08-29/uk-rejects-syria-military-strike-obama-willing-go-it-alone

For those who think that there was never going to be any action.
I think you're wrong.

This was a huge shock.
They gave them two really watered down amendments to vote on and they still said no!

Lots of good speeches today, this was a pretty good one.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPh4_wWuB6g

Assad reportedly sent a secret letter personally to President Obama after the vote. It said "Neener Neener Neener"

The media is now reporting that Assad's son is taunting the US on his Facebook page. So like father like son.... :)

This is going to get stupid on a biblical level if someone doesn't fucking blink soon. Obama doesn't have the balls to do this alone, but Hollande has already submitted his support for the Socialist in Chief, so here we go. If France backs down, and her people are getting pretty noisy about not wanting any part of this p[arty, Obama is alone in the world.

All kidding aside I don't think President Obama can do much. The risk will be too great that retaliation would let Sarin gas loose in a NY subway, bring down the internet, shoot American tourists in some unexpected place. Then there are the economic consequences. High oil prices equals a giant economic crash. Worldwide. There is no upside to bombing Syria. None. Cooler heads will prevail. If we bomb something we're going to tell Syria the exact date, time, and location, and it will be a PR stunt with a bit of gold going into somebody's hands to keep it on the down low. It will be a charade (fingers crossed).

Obama would much rather change the subject and hope we all forget the "red line" promise. A "Wag the Dog" plan is probably being kicked around at this very moment at the White House. Where are those media friends when you need them. :)

This whole thing is playing out about as gratingly as that scene in "A Perfect World" when Kevin Costner's character is holed up with that black family and the piano music they play. It's just like Fa(k! would somebody just figure something out to do that isn't completely stupid. I'd accept 75% stupid at this point.

Yeah, he would like the media to change the subject, don't know where that post disappeared to. That seems to be his hope 90% of the time, and more often than not his buddies in the press oblige. He would do a cart wheel if there was a school shooting with a high body count for them to focus on, and start screaming for more gun bans.

Military operation code name "Wristslap" is expected over the weekend according to NBC News. They have almost finished the special effects and video editing so that they can release bomb damage "footage" to the rest of the media. Russia will respond with a really angry letter and call Obama names like "Duffer" and "Barack Bush" If it all goes according to plan on Tuesday coverage will switch back to budget negotiations and the battle over the debt ceiling. Rachael Maddow will wear black for a week. Most people will miss all of this because they are at the beach or swimming pool but I am glued to my television so I can watch it all "live".

News Flash: Obama announces today there is no need to hurry on a response to Syria and when we do respond, it won't be a very large response so that nobody gets offended, so please stop talking about it in the media. One option being discussed by his advisors is to not send Assad a Christmas card this year.

I'm just waiting for them to realize they can blame all this on Bush again. All they have to do is point out that Syria wouldn't have all those chemical weapons if it weren't for Bush waiting to invade Iraq because he waited to get U.N. & congressional approval so that gave Saddam & Barrack Hussein time to move all their chemical weapons to Syria for safe storage.

Did you see? Russia is sending a "spy ship" as well.

Honestly, it looks like a wreck... cold war relic :) LOL
http://cruiser-moskva.info/flot/priazovye_01_2500.jpg

As long as it can sail and looks like a military ship, they can use it as a "psychological weapon".

By the way - whom are they trying to spy on?

I have a feeling the Russians are more interested in checking out the US ships from nearby instead of creating a fierce opposing force.

I hope Obama isn't dumb enough to attack. I sure hope so!

Meh, IDK if the trip from Crimea/Black Sea to Mediterranean is such a boon... It is nice all right in The Crimea already!

Certainly their moves there involve Black Sea Fleet?

These idiots are stuck on stupid. Israel is in full-on provocation mode and the US is doing it's level best to piss off Russia and China. In my opinion, we have no business in Syria, none whatsoever, yet the PTB have already made their decision. It is just a matter of whether Obama gains the blessing of Congress, or if he goes rogue. Petulant child that he is, I rather suspect he will do the latter rather than the former. JMHO

Methinks, he already decided NOT to go there, that's why he bothered to ask for Congressional permission (which was sure he'll not obtain).
Usual political bullshit and "my hands are tied, ye know" - if he doesn't want to do this anyways, but wants some excuse to save face, and maybe score some points as well, when he bows to "the democratic voice of We The People", as expressed by the Congress.

Russians are now saying they're observing a US-Israel exercise. They are conducting exercises. They are going to do something, if they are preparing.

Even Europe is pretty much against a war...
