Can anybody help determine a value?

(Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this)

I found an interesting coin in my grandmother's collection of antiques and I want to help her with determining the value. I did a little web searching but didn't come up with anything.

Looks like a walking liberty 1/2 dollar that either got painted, or some sort of plating technique.
