Positions in 'CEF' and 'PHYS'.
Some may say... 'YouCrazy swinging for the fences like that'
To them I say 'Perhaps I crash and burn, I go down in flames and commit suicide'
FlipSide of Coin... People with BigBucks also have ShitScare and do like me. Price of Gold GoUp and we all happy.

History will decide whether bold moves are genius or lunacy.

I don't quite have your tolerance for risk (or conviction in how things are going to play out). I've got a smaller percentage stored in physical metal just in case financial humpty dumpty falls off the wall.

To me having putting/storing 10k republik credits in a bank for a rainy day is far more risky than having the same "value" of PM's stored in my boat. I'm not talking about taking the rent money and buying PM's, I'm talking about money some might use to buy golf clubs, tennis racquets, etc. and most of the money people just put in a bank waiting for their bank to fail or govt. to take the money. I think it's more foolish to store more than a couple months salary in a bank or cyberspace.

Good luck brother. I played around with AGQ when silver was first going for the forties. I got in at fifteen and tripled my money before pulling it out of the market. I couldn't take the tension and pressure anymore.

If I knew then what I know now I would not have dunnit.
It is a F(n)RollerCoaster and does require SuperiorIntestinalFortitude.
I rode it and lived could be some sort of badge of honor, I guess.
There is no way I could handle this on margin with leverage.
This game really ain't for Pussies.

I have no idea how things will play out either.
After repeatedly reading warnings of a MajorDollarAccident I took action and decided to get out of the way.
Of course the predictions/warnings so far have been wrong but you never know.
The Quadrillion OTC Derivative thing continues to worry me. It would be great if there was good info on the net about it. What is it? Where is it? Who owns it?

It's not really aboit being a pussy or not, it's about doing that mental calculation of inherent risk versus potential return. When you are my age and you are dealing with establishing the foundations of your retirement, you start to become more jaded and conservative in your outlook. I am too close now to fuck it all up on a series of dice rolls in this casino.

I've used ProFunds and Rydex Inverse Index Funds in the past with some measure of success. I would have liked to do a repeat performance but the darn things are not tight enough to ride current market volatility without slippage above and beyond the stated expense ratios.
