A State of Union, for us all to use.
He brings with him a message, wise and clear,
To guide his audience, with words of cheer.
He tells of tales of glory and of woe,
Of love and loss, of high and low,
Of triumphs won, and battles lost,
Of heroes born, at a great cost.
He speaks of art, and all its grace,
Of music, dance, and every race,
Of poetry that brings our hearts to peace,
And writings that let our fears release.
His words are wise, and call us to be brave,
To live our lives, beyond the grave,
To see the world in all its glory,
And tell our stories, without a worry.
So let us raise our voice, to sing his song,
And follow where his words belong,
For he is the bard, the wise and true,
And we shall never forget, all he's brought us through.
