ABSOLUTELY MUST WATCH!! SKIER STUMBLES OVER SNOWBOARDER BURIED IN SNOW, SAVES HIS LIFE

In an absolutely riveting video, skier Francis Zuber stumbled over a snowboarder buried in the snow at Mt. Baker Ski Area in Bellingham, Washington. Watch as quick-thinking Zuber frantically performs a rescue.

Do skiers usually carry shovels? Good thing he had one though.

While nowhere near as critical as this incident, it reminds me of a time I was cross country skiing, and a lady in our group, who was on the large side, made the mistake of going off trail by just a few feet, and promptly sunk up to her neck into the snow. It took a little while to get her out and back onto the trail.

That skier must have been right behind the snowboarder. Snowboarder's head was buried and likely didn't have much oxygen/time.

If his arm was free, you would think he could scoop out an area around his face. He was speaking, so maybe already a gap there. Perhaps tree branches?
