Not to worry. Those are fake vanity plates. They even have the 1957 dates on them for nostalgic purposes. The real plates are kept in an undisclosed location for legal purposes. (Some) of you all worry to much....

We essentially did this a few years back when we moved. Except for the "shuttered for 6 months" part. Sold our home in the city and bought in a very secluded area surround by other large tracts of private land. We never touched our stack,.....didn't need to, and remain debt free.. We like to hang around our acreage so we can watch over our land & kill anyone or anything who might have some bad intentions around our property.....

If you haven't shared peace pipes with your neighbors, I encourage you to do so. When you bought your property, you also bought your neighbors.

Neighbor(s)?,..... We have A neighbor. An older couple. Yes, they are great friends. He and I are in the same VFW post. Next closest "neighbor" is about 3/4 mile to the northeast and another about a mile to the south. Living out in the sticks has its challenges but its also got its advantages.

Central Banks, lead by the USA FED , are facilitating the implosion of Fiat Currency. They do seem Foolish enough to think that this will end well for them.

My wife used to criticize.me for buying gold thinking I was wasting my money since gold does nothing and I just put it away. It will be interesting to see what happens when I am on the other side of the globe.
 
In currently handling two different estates where PMs were inherited, and in doing a recent audit of my own pile, I realized what a mess it is to have all different types of stuff. Raw coins, coins in five different sizes of paper and/or plastic flips, slabs from four separate grading services that don't nest with each other, different sized bars, mint OGP takes up space. It'd be nice to have it all converted to coins that stack in tubes that fit in boxes.

So in a couple words, how much do ya need?

My thinking is your weight in silver, for me that would be around 2,000 ounces.

who cares where your stack falls % wise vs others......inho the only thing that matters is where your stack falls % wise against your personal net worth......the whole point is to not store wealth in $ ..... personally i keep my $ below 10% of my net worth but it usually ranges more in the 6-7% range ..........PMs are just a part of the ~93% that isnt in $

what i wonder is how many people live with zero net worth ......

i also wonder about people upside down on loans etc......with only net worth is possibly in low downpayment real estate....paycheck to paycheckers

In this one the Philly Stacker talks about quitting cigs and putting the $$$$ towards gold & silver. Can also apply to other wastes (bar tabs, parties for one costs, drugs, etc.) If PMs aren't your bag the $$$$ can always be used for T-bills, CDs, etc.
