From the article:

There is no excuse for this. The deployment of the FBI to arrest somebody for misdemeanors must be nearly unprecedented, especially taking somebody into custody in an airport in front of his family and the world. He was held overnight in jail.

For God’s sake, they could have issued a summons, not deployed the FBI. He was hardly a fugitive from justice. He is an actor.

I would love to see a list of all occasions where the FBI sends agents out to arrest people for misdemeanors committed at protests years earlier. Something tells me that the list is short and includes none from the BLM protests of 2020.
