I would like to be able to walk into a US bank and buy gold coins without needing a wire transfer or withdraw cash.
 
I'm pretty sure you can only buy it in Ghana. The Ghana central bank is making them for sale for Ghana locals as a means to keep Ghana wealth in the country. I don't think they are being sold or exported outside the nation's borders.
