I BEGGED STRANGERS FOR BITCOIN… and it worked!!!

Jul 24, 2025 MADEIRA
OK so Bitcoin is over $120,000—so maybe I can beg for it?
I tried to beg for Bitcoin in Madeira, Portugal.
No fiat. No cards.
Just a t-shirt, a cardboard sign, and the hope that strangers around the world will pay for my day with Bitcoin.
From a café in Madeira to a tweet seen in Vietnam, I post QR codes online and wait to see if someone, somewhere, decides to help me out.
What follows is a mix of absurdity, generosity, and a real look at what makes Bitcoin different.
This is Part 1 of the Bitcoin Beggar experiment — and things are just getting started.
