Dow jumps 1,000 points as Trump says U.S.-Iran peace deal is near: Live updates​

U.S. equities gained on Thursday, boosted by a rebound in chip stocks, after President Donald Trump called off the strikes on Iran scheduled for this evening and said the U.S. is going to soon sign a deal with Iran.

The S&P 500 gained 1.9%, while the Nasdaq Composite added 2.6%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1,024 points, or 2.1%.

SpaceX stock jumps 19%, closing near $161 after record IPO: Live updates​

SpaceX jumped 19% on Friday in its Nasdaq debut after the biggest initial public offering ever. The stock closed at around $161, valuing the company at $2.1 trillion.

The shares opened trading at $150 under the ticker SPCX after SpaceX raised $75 billion in the IPO. The high price for the day was $176.52. More than 500 million shares traded hands, a number that approached Facebook’s first day, which saw trading of about 580 million shares in 2012.

Stock futures jump after the U.S. and Iran reach a deal to end the war: Live updates​

Stock futures are rising Sunday night to kick off the holiday-shortened trading week after President Donald Trump announced that an agreement had been reached to end the war between the U.S. and Iran.

Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 304 points points, or 0.6%. S&P 500 futures climed 0.7%, while Nasdaq 100 futures popped 0.8%.
