Good choice of weapons. I own and carry an early serial number USP chambered in .40S&W. I also own and carry a S&W Model 638 - which is identical to the 642 except for a bobbed and shrouded hammer. Weighing only 1 pound loaded with +P JHPs, I simply drop this in a front pocket in the summer when I am only wearing cargo shorts and golf shirts.
 
If he get universal reciprocity on CCW permits, that would be amazing, imagine not needing worry about which states honored your permit.
