The CIA Gold Heist Just Got Way More Disturbing

Oct 10, 2026 #Gold #PreciousMetals #CIA
A former CIA officer has pleaded guilty to wire fraud after pulling off one of the most unbelievable precious metals thefts in U.S. government history. David Rush stole 303 kilogram gold bars—valued at over $40 million—by setting up a fake clandestine spy program. In total, he defrauded the government of $194 million, using the stolen funds to buy luxury Palm Beach real estate.
However, the gold theft was only the beginning. The plea agreement reveals he also compromised a critical U.S. human intelligence asset to a foreign government official. Despite committing massive fraud and jeopardizing national security, he faces a maximum of just 20 years in prison under a plea deal designed to keep classified CIA secrets out of open court.
In this video, we break down how the fake program was uncovered, why gold was used as the vehicle for this heist, and what this case reveals about government secrecy, institutional trust, and physical precious metal stacking.

And now you wonder how many others did the same thing and got away with it...
