Apparently this happened a few months back:

I wonder what the status of the project is now. Was it just rhetoric, or are they actually changing their computer systems?

They are, but it's not every single computer the gov owns.
....and it's not just France. Germany and a couple others are changing to Linux on some of their systems too.

At this point, windows is little more than straight up spyware.
....but if you install it right, you can get rid of all the BS it comes with.

Ie: no TPM, no telemetry, no copilot, no recall, etc etc.
.....and do it with a local account on a PC that isn't supposed to even support win 11.

IMHO, anyone still running stock windows might need their head examined.

two and a half million computers?
Ohhh the headaches involved.
Is this over and done? No, they ain't even started.
Sounds like TACO talk to me.

Who is Windows spying for?

Themselves, and literally thousands of companies. The vast majority of which you've never heard of.

Turn a Winblows 11 PC on, and with it just sitting there not even logged in, it is sending data to to servers all over Gods creation.
......and they all sell the data to anyone with a few dollars to spend. Including the gov.

That can all be fixed though.

Nothing wrong with those computers, that putting a real OS on them won't fix.

Linux. Open source; competing hobbyists, all with different agendas, checking each other, whenever one gets cute with backdoors. NO organized central-control agenda. NO NSA monies to turn a mere operating system into a spy web, feeding data to a Mothership.

Eventually the Linux option will disappear; and that's when I go secular Amish.
