Endocannabinoid system receptor distribution in the body

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is an endogenous multifunctional pro-homeostatic signaling system being almost ubiquitously distributed within the body.

The system is generally recognized to consist of three main parts:

(1) receptors: Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1R) and 2 (CB2R)

(2) Endocannabinoids: the body’s own signaling molecules regulating the ECS through the cannabinoid receptors, including N-arachidonylethanolamine (aka Anandamide, The Bliss Molecule) and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) and

(3) the enzymes: responsible for the metabolism and regulation of endocannabinoids available at a given time.

In general, CB1Rs are primarily expressed within brain regions and the nervous system, especially in the central nervous system, and to a lesser extent at other sites of the body.

CB2Rs are primarily expressed within cells related to the immune system and peripheral body tissues.

AFAIK, there is a growing a body of studies showing CBD oil may have therapeutic value for treating epilepsy (seizures), but the body of data is still thin and more studies are being done:

if you can:
grow your own

but the concerns about lung health still exist

what i see is, more push, to purchase commercial products and that's the entire problem, getting 'addicted' to 'their stash' rather than providing your own at a huge discount

there are edibles and creams...
all commercially available at a dispensary near a lot of people

'don't feed the machine'

if we all grew tobacco, if we all had chickens, if we all knew how to sew a button back on...

all traits we were taught were 'dirty' or things only 'poor people do'

we need to STOP corporatism

Policy Ahead of the Science: Medical Cannabis Laws Versus Scientific Evidence

Conclusion

Millions of Americans use cannabis and cannabinoids to treat a host of medical and psychiatric conditions.16 Many of these conditions are specified in medical cannabis laws as conditions for which patients can be recommended or certified for medical cannabis use. In many jurisdictions, the law allows physicians to certify medical cannabis use for broad and undefined conditions (eg, terminal or debilitating illness) or for any condition they choose.

Abstract

Colorectal cancer is a major public health problem. Unfortunately, currently, no effective curative option exists for this type of malignancy. The most promising cancer treatment nowadays is immunotherapy which is also called biological or targeted therapy. This type of therapy boosts the patient's immune system ability to fight the malignant tumor. However, cancer cells may become resistant to immunotherapy and escape immune surveillance by obtaining genetic alterations. Therefore, new treatment strategies are required. In the recent decade, several reports suggest the effectiveness of cannabinoids and Cannabis sativaextracts for inhibiting cancer proliferation in vitro and in vivo, including intestinal malignancies. Cannabinoids were shown to modulate the pathways involved in cell proliferation, angiogenesis, programmed cell death and metastasis. Because of that, they are proposed as adjunct therapy for many malignancies. By far less information exists on the potential of the use of cannabis in combination with immunotherapy. Here, we explore the possibility of the use of cannabinoids for modulation of immunotherapy of colon cancer and discuss possible advantages and limitations.
Keywords: Cannabis sativa extracts; cannabinoids; colorectal cancer; immunotherapy; inflammation.

All you smell on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter in NOLA is weed, urine and garbage cans.

Are you sure this isn't fake news? After all, this isn't what the gov has told us about this devils weed stuff.
....and we know the gov never lies and always has our best interests at heart.

Oh wait, this just in!

The US government holds a patent on the medical use of cannabinoids and has licensed certain pharmacutical companies to develop drugs using them.

Patent #6630507

In other words, the government stands to make money from the medical use of something that they have repeatedly told us for Decades now, and continues to do so, has zero medical uses.

This is an example of what the American Indians referred to as speaking with a forked tongue.
