Most of us are old enough to remember when an American led Juggernaut was loosed against the forces of Saddam Hussein. We were awed by the beginning of modern warfare as technology like stealth, Tomahawk missiles, Laser guided munitions, anti-radiation missiles became known to the world an awed TV viewers the world over. But the real truth was only a tiny % of munitions expended were what we'd call today "smart". Over 95% were plain old dumb bombs and missiles and the dream of Hyper-war was still only a dream that would take several generations to become reality. Hyper War would have to wait. So what is a Hyper War and whats needed to fight one ?

Essentially I would define hyper war as war that uses such advanced and lethal technology, that unfolds at a pace an across distances so great, that the human in the loop becomes non-essential or even a liability. This is why in the opening days and weeks of a hyper war the % of munitions expended would be near 100% "smart" ; Their precision near perfect with 3 built in guidance systems. Its a war where the entire air fleet, certainly the first ones used, would be stealth and a human in the cockpit would not be necessary, or even a liability. A war of drones so advanced and lethal a human soldier would find it near impossible to survive anywhere around the front lines. A war where Artificial Intelligence would do the thinking for us. Would target the enemy for us.

Already we don't "need" humans in the cockpits or even humans in the loop. We simply wont take the last step due to political/moral reasons as the technology already exists. We have the ability to loose drone swarms to hunt on their own without our input. ABM defenses have already shown a 90 to 95% ability to intercept enemy drones, short range, and long range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles. These ABM radars and targeting units have shown the ability to out think us by a factor of "X" and the accuracy to be near perfect. Nobody laughs when Trump speaks of building a ICBM "space shield" like they did when Reagan proposed Star Wars. The technology exists and the only thing needed is the money and the will.

In this new type of war, besides rare earth minerals, the absolute essential metal needed to construct it is of course silver. Of course its why I'm pointing all this out to you and indeed have harped upon it time and time again here and in other forums. Ive been following the evolution of modern warfare since I was a young airman in the '70s and have spent a lot of time and effort doing so. Ive often spoken of the exponential pace of technological evolution starting when that first cave man swung that first club. Its in our very DNA to constantly improvise and improve our technology and knowledge. The club became the spear, the spear the spear thrower, the spear thrower the bow, the bow the long bow, the long bow the musket and the canon, and on and on it goes and we do it faster and better and sooner as time goes on, "picture that snowball rolling down hill" getting bigger and bigger, faster and faster.

Now I dont want to leave out the consumer market that is also accelerating with the tools of Hyper war. If anything that market is far bigger, its impact far greater, its reliance on silver far more. But its military tech and hyper war I'm speaking of now.

And WW1, WW2, while yes silver was important these were mostly conflicts where tin, copper, steel, nickle, aluminum/Bauxite, tungsten, brass, magnesium, were vital. Yes these are still important but in an age of thinking machines, of electric submarines, of missiles, drones, advanced explosives, radars, stealth fleets, next Gen power supplys, satellites by the thousands. With All this and more it will be silver that will be crucial.

Unless its by Govt. action I really can't understand why its still so cheap.
