Inside the Philippines’ Illegal Gold Trade | FULL DOC | SLICE EXPERTS

Apr 19, 2026 #freedocumentary #documentary #goldmining
In the Philippines, illegal gold mining is more than a desperate livelihood. It is a shadow economy powered by miners, financiers, agents, refiners and black market buyers, all feeding a trade worth hundreds of millions of dollars a year.
From dangerous underwater compressor pits to mercury-soaked rock mills, hidden brokers, cash-only deals and buyers in Manila, this documentary follows the full trail of illicit gold. Along the way, it reveals the real cost of the trade: collapsing mines, poisoned workers, bribed officials, devastated land and families left behind.

When I hear these American children speak about corruption and fascism here in America it makes me just want to laugh. Having been stationed in such a place once it makes me want to laugh even louder. Having spent over 3 decades as an American Policeman it makes me hysterical.

I mean in such a place do you think the Police and Govt. officials aren't getting their "cut" ? All at the price of years of prison if the miners don't so the miners are little more then slaves for a net of corruption above them.
