War in the Middle East & Gold Market Analysis

Unfortunately, a War in the Middle East is here as Israel and the USA began bombing Iran this week, and now thousands of missiles, kamikaze drones, and deaths have been traded back and forth between respective nations and those in the neighborhood.
The silver and gold markets sold off to start the week and finished consolidating sideways over the last few trading days.
The spot silver price ended the week at $84.48 oz bid.
The spot gold price closed the week basically flat at $5172 oz bid.

It's official: Iran is backing down.

President Pezeshkian is now apologizing and confirming that they are halting all missile attacks against neighboring countries: "No missiles will be fired unless an attack against Iran originates from these countries."

It's fascinating how quickly the will for "diplomacy" emerges as soon as one's military capacity is wiped out.

Strength is the only language understood in this region.

Do you agree that this is the "Trump effect" in real time, or what do you think is behind the sudden turnaround?
 
The arab countries got the message, no point in continuing when they really need to finish off Israel.

That is funny as hell! It's kind of hard to fire missiles with drones circling whats left of your missile sites just waiting for something to move so they can shoot it.

Actually, they make us spend billions everyday, while they sip tea in the shade and fire an occasional $25,000 drone at Israel, when we run out of anti missile stuff they will finish off Israel. As the saying goes "They don't have to win, they just need not to lose".

IRAN WAR.

Ok.

I just met with an exceptionally well informed Swiss resident - a family friend and successful international investor.

He told me that there is no question that Iran already has nukes.

And has had them for years.

He also said that banana prices in dubai have gone from 30 cents to three dollars and that onion prices have gone from 50 cents to 5 dollars.

There is a week to ten days food supply there in a city of 4 million.

If the desalination plants are hit there will be a serious water shortage.

Personally from what I am seeing the decision to bomb Iran may be the biggest mistake that any american leader has made in history.

Apparently Iran has been preparing for this for years.

Iran is no Venezuela.

They are a very proud people.

Our friend told me that when perstroika happened some nukes that went missing were purchased at that by Iran.

Iran is a vast country several times the size of France mountainous and resourceful.

The idea that any invading force will come out unscathed is pure insanity.

The west will be paying the price of this ill thought through decision for years.

We are witness to a demonic blood lust by leaders who have no clue what they are up against.

Of course he may be wrong. I hope he is.

But sadly I doubt it.
 
Nuke israel now, free America...hell, genocide is one of the few things we are good at.

I see you get triggered when I expose the truth. Sucks to be you. I get it, you don't like that I point out the lies being spewed by this administration. However, you seem to have translated that into me wanting something bad to happen to our country and I don't. In fact I dont think 1 American should give their life for Israel let alone putting thousands at risk because of them. Week1 and we already have Americans coming home in body bags. Not acceptable to me.
 
What number of dead Iranians is acceptable to you for them to be happy?

Citing Karoline Leavitt’s definition of surrender as eliminating Iran’s threat, Boyd revisits the 1979 Iranian Revolution, describing the Shah’s industrial and nuclear modernization, opposition from Anglo-American financial interests, and a strategy of “Controlled Disintegration” associated with the Council on Foreign Relations’ Project 1980s. She claims the Shah was overthrown via a human-rights campaign and the Muslim Brotherhood, leading Khomeini to cancel modernization and enabling an oil shock that benefited London banks. Boyd says the same playbook is now aimed at Trump’s pro-worker economic program, but that U.S. energy strength and security measures reduce oil-shock risk; she concludes that ending the Khamenei regime would remove a long-standing economic weapon and ultimately stabilize energy markets.

I subsequently realised that I had been brainwashed by the media ……

It’s important to step back from what the media tell you to think .
There are probably multiple views within a diverse population of 90 million people and many who didn’t agree with the way the country was being run, left and now likely celebrated the possibility that those in charge might be removed .
 
We survived high oil prices before, we'll do it again.

The City of London has maintained control for over a thousand years and now they're being dismantled and are fomenting panic.

For the last eight years, he has been called a villain by the main stream media. I am going to take a closer look at MBS because it is time we exposed the truth.

Who knows? We're inundated with articles and videos about "the truth about..." The city of London, the Saudis, Iran, Trump, etc., etc. What's the truth and what is just the new narrative the powers that be are trying to sell as they attempt a controlled demolition of the current order and try to transition to the next new world order? Or is it all just lies told by evil factions fighting for dominance?

The first strike on Iranian oil infrastructure just landed. Not on Kharg Island, where Iran loads crude for export. Not on the southern oil fields of Khuzestan, where crude comes out of the ground. On the Shahran fuel depot on the northern outskirts of Tehran, where gasoline and military fuel are stored for domestic distribution across a city of thirteen million people.

At least two of the depot’s eleven storage tanks are burning. Thick black smoke is visible from highways across the capital. Fuel is leaking from damaged tanks. The Iranian oil ministry says the volume in the targeted tank was “not high” and the situation is “under control.” The IDF confirmed the strike, describing it as a hit on fuel storage linked to the Iranian armed forces.

The targeting choice reveals the strategy that the fire obscures.

Iran’s oil export infrastructure sits in the south. Kharg Island handles roughly 90 percent of crude exports. Abadan, Bandar Abbas, and Isfahan house the major refineries with a combined capacity exceeding one million barrels per day. None of these have been struck. The coalition has the ability to hit them. It is choosing not to. Because destroying Iran’s export infrastructure would remove Iranian crude from global markets permanently, spike oil to $150 or beyond, and unite the Global South against an operation that was already condemned by 120 nations.

Instead, the coalition hit the domestic fuel supply.

The Shahran depot feeds Tehran. It feeds the trucks that carry food to markets. It feeds the vehicles that move IRGC personnel between command nodes. It feeds the generators that keep hospitals and water treatment operating when the power grid is degraded. Striking it does not change the global oil price. It changes life inside the capital for thirteen million people who are already living under the most sustained aerial bombardment of a major city since Baghdad 2003.

Iran produces roughly 2.8 million barrels per day but refines most of it domestically. The country imports gasoline because its refining capacity cannot meet internal demand even in peacetime. Sanctions have degraded refinery maintenance for decades. The Tehran refinery itself processes 250,000 barrels per day. If the Shahran depot that stores its output is burning, the distribution chain between refinery and consumer is broken even if the refinery itself is untouched.

This is the squeeze. The air campaign destroys military bases, airports, command bunkers, Basij facilities, and now fuel storage. The Hormuz closure blocks the imports that might compensate. The internet is at four percent of normal capacity. Domestic flights are grounded. The road network is under surveillance from commercial satellites that any adversary can access. And now the fuel that moves everything, military and civilian, through a country the size of Alaska is burning in a depot on the edge of the capital.

Iran’s oil ministry says the fire is under control. The fire in the depot may be. The fire in the country is not.
