Actually, not so much.

By the time the dust settles on this cluster-copulation, Trump's name is gonna be equivalent to that of Dr. Mudd.

He was the physician who gave emergency treatment to John Wilkes Booth for his broken leg, enabling Booth's short-lived flight after Lincoln's @$$@$$ination. Dr. Mudd is where "Your name is mud" (properly, Mudd) comes from.

IIRC, Mudd was hanged with other conspirators. In the days when we understood what to do with lawbreaking. Mudd probably argued that the customs of his profession, required him to render treatment. The law didn't care.

The chaos Trump caused is gonna take a generation to undo. Petroleum recovery in the region is probably gonna be disrupted, maybe with significant losses or diminished rate of output. Trump is...sadly, because nine years ago, with his mind right, he started out much better...but now he's gonna go down in history as one of our WORST Presidents, the most negatively consequential.

Only Roosevelt, unleashing the Deep State, will be judged more harshly by those who understand liberty. If any are left.

Iran just published all 14 clauses of the MoU. Read them carefully, because this is not the deal Trump described.

The headline numbers: $300 billion in reconstruction commitments from the US and allies. $24 billion in released frozen funds, half before negotiations even start. Complete naval blockade lifted within 30 days. US forces withdrawn from around Iran.

Here's the big one: Hormuz reopens under Iranian arrangements, meaning Iran keeps management of the strait.

The nuclear clause is Clause 9: Iran reiterates its commitment not to produce nuclear weapons. That's it. No enrichment cap. No dismantlement. No inspector access beyond existing frameworks.

The actual nuclear terms get negotiated in a separate 60-day window, and Clause 14 explicitly removes Iran's missile program and support for resistance groups from the agenda entirely. Permanently.

Iran's Deputy FM called it a total victory this morning. He wasn't spinning.

- It will be interesting to read the finalized deal (when ever it does come) and compare it to the one Obama had.

- Will the Israelis do something to screw things up and if they do will T tolerated it or tell them to fu*k off?

From what I've see on X this AM there's a whole lotta Israelis that aren't happy. Almost like they want a never ending war or the total destruction of Iran and want the U.S. to do the fighting / destruction.

Nah, no one has a clue. It's like a catch-as-catch-can type of a thing.

Me? I'm hoping for peace and an end to T's military adventurism. But do I think that will happen? Not a clue

The tech-bro's firmly control him, now. To the extent that Nuttin' Yahoo allows him any autonomy.

And the "Neo-Cons" (I hate that term, but I hate those war-freaks, moar) are in bed with the Tech-Bro's. Who's controlling who, in that circus? I think it's symbiotic. The Tech-Bro's love showing what they can do with their coding controlling flash-bang toys. The Moar-War freaks just love creating the chaos and fear of war - and the POWER that comes with unquestioned, unaudited BILLIONS.

Where do the MAGA people fit in? Nowhere. Absolutely NOTHING we voted for, is coming to pass. Not even something as simple as banning a poison faux-vaxx or undoing the ACA. Hell, we can't even get ethanol out of our GASOLINE! The demented fool okay'd MOAR of it, an E20 mandate!

There will be no end to "T's military adventurism." This is the dying convulsion of an empire in collapse, and Trump is not in control. If he ever was, even ten years ago...I'm seeing him now as a figurehead, removed from one ship, say a merchant or research vessel, and attached to an attack vessel.

Not only that but they blew up all those US bases... you know the ones we really don't need to staff any more??

That means we don't have to police the world....
 
Of course this could also be a set up to try to murder more Iranian leadership...
