The Death of Albert Speer - Mysterious Mistress Cover Up?​

In September 1981, former Nazi Armaments Minister Albert Speer died in a London hospital after suffering a stroke in his hotel room in the company of his young mistress. That woman's name has never been made public. My investigation suggests that her identity has been deliberately suppressed for 44 years. Why? We don't know, but it remains a fact that no document mentions her name, which is very odd. I set out to discover her name and unravel the curious suppression of information concerning Speer's two visits to London and his death there.

Operation Nanook is underway in the Arctic. This year the Canadian Rangers are conducting their longest patrol ever, and soldiers are testing artillery north of the Arctic circle. The exercises come amidst a changing world with an increased focus on Arctic sovereignty.
The CBC's Meghan Roberts spoke with Canadian Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Steve Boivin. He's the Commander of the Canadian Joint Operations Command which means he's in charge of deployed Canadian military operations in Canada and around the world. Here's their conversation.

They Came to Spy on America. They Stayed to Coach Little League.​

At 5:04 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1989, San Francisco began to shake. The Loma Prieta earthquake caused widespread destruction. Across the region, freeways and buildings collapsed. When the dust settled, 63 people were killed and over 3,700 injured.

A local FBI counterintelligence agent had left work early and was with his kids at a city park when the quake struck. Unnerved but unharmed, the FBI agent quickly dropped off his kids at home, then jumped into his bureau car and sped downtown. Apocalyptic reports wafted over the car radio: Part of the Bay Bridge had collapsed. Buildings were ablaze. It was chaos.

Army Raises Enlistment Age from 35 to 42 - Is it a Good or Bad Thing?​

Did you know only 23% of young Americans aged 17-24 are eligible for military service? This is due to height/weight standards, academic issues, and drug/criminal record. So as of April 20, 2026, the U.S. Army is officially raising its maximum enlistment age from 35 to 42. This change applies to the Regular Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve.

‘Not the End of the Story’​

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — Two decades ago, Dakota Meyer enlisted in the Marine Corps with a plan to become one of the elites operating behind enemy lines, inspired by a poster of a camo-painted Reconnaissance Marine with night-vision goggles.

But a failed swim test during recon indoctrination changed the course of his career, and Meyer instead became a sniper, deploying to Afghanistan, and engaged in a deadly battle with the Taliban. While that day earned him the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest award for combat valor, it cut his Marine career short.

Monday, almost one year after he reenlisted in the service, Meyer’s dream of becoming a reconnaissance Marine – the dream that started it all – became reality.

Pentagon Adds to Pacific Refueling Capacity With New Philippine Depot​

The Pentagon plans to open a new depot in the Southern Philippines by 2028, setting the stage to expand Washington’s growing network of forward-based Western Pacific refueling hubs alongside upcoming sites in Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Last month, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) requested contractor services to support setting up a Defense Fuel Support Point (DFSP) around the Davao region on the Southern Philippine Island of Mindanao. DFSPs are fueling depots that the Pentagon uses to stage fuel and lubricants in support of U.S. military operations. The Davao DFSP is envisioned to support up to 41 million gallons of fuel products and lubricants, reads a performance work statement on the DFSP.
