What happened with what? Neighbor's house has been quiet lately.

So, how do I buy Airbnb property if I wanted too.

Quiet as in, no tennant's?

Or quiet as in there's been tennant's but they have not caused any problems?

How often are there people actually staying there?

...

Yes.

There are frequently cars or trucks in the driveway, but it could be a tenant, the owner or some of the owner's family. Occasionally the owner has some handyman there to do maintenance or fix things. But I'm not seeing or hearing them these days.

The film crew with 10 vehicles out front, windows blocked out and industrial lighting equipment has not been back since I last posted about the movie making.

Yeah...pron producers tend to rotate locations.

Since the Guy-Wif-A-Camera online pron genre has become popular, I've heard of some producers getting jumped or even killed - by ex's or even the girl herself. Read a story of one dingbat, who got into pron to pay her bail bondsman and a fine for hauling drugs (to show where she was coming from) later murdered a male talent who proceeded to leave her in a family way, sort of.

So they move around a lot. Your neighbor's house, as a set, has been used up.

I was tired last night and went to bed before 10pm. It's now 1:30AM and I'm awake. I got almost 5 hours of sleep. I was awoken by geniuses next door who thought shooting off fireworks right outside my bedroom window at 1AM was a fantastic idea.

Lucky you have such patriotic neighbors. My neighbor across the street has a "No Ice" sign and a Pride Flag.

It's the New Normal. We had the same thing...right up through 0130, also. I'm getting moar used to sleeping through strange noises - but also, my brainstem makes assessments on those noises. I heard a lot of skyrockets lift off...no big deal; but then our trailer-park neighbors...either had mortars to blast off, or were firing off shotguns.

Those weren't pops - they were serious blasts or long-gun reports.

GIVEN that they live in a trailer area (predates zoning; thirty years ago this apartment building was put up on rural land; now we're in a big commercial area)...and all their "housing stock" is Grapes-Of-Wrath picturesque...I don't credit them with a lot of resources, nor brains to know they're living like animals.

So I don't put it past them to be shooting guns off, willy-nilly.

Well...it's over, until New Year's. Where AGAIN the re-tards step out with un-cleaned shotguns and whatever shells they can find under the bed, and demonstrate their wit and cleverness by shooting them straight up in the air.

There was someone in my neighborhood setting some off at 2am. I got woke up, too.

Setting off somewhere would not have been an issue. Setting off in the street would not have been an issue. The idiots next door set off their fireworks in their driveway at their garage door and I think aimed them into our back yard. It sounded like they were standing right outside my bedroom window.

There was debris all over my back yard and driveway this morning. I would not be surprised if debris is cluttering up my gutters too, but I didn't get a ladder out to check. I didn't see any on the roof, but there probably is some up there too.

I collected the debris in a ziploc bag. I'm thinking about handing it to my neighbor (the landlord/owner, not the current tenants). Maybe not.

Could have worse neighbors.
No matter who they are or what they are like, you could ALWAYS have a worse neighbor than the one ya got. lol

Have heard about some real winners in that dept.

Know of one current and ongoing neighbor feud that (so far) has resulted in multiple popo calls, multiple code enforcement calls (the call on each other over the dumbest shit), slashed tires, an allegedly stolen scooter, one arrest, and lots of general nastiness.

Ie: Good times! lol

What makes it f'ed up for me, is that I know both parties involved.

I am not close with either by any stretch of the imagination and want to keep it that way, but I am on speaking terms with both and would like to not get dragged into their shit.

I barely know any of 'ems first names. It's not my neighborhood, but one I am in quite often.

I just wanna get along with people and not have anyone mad at me over stupid shit.

When I got woke up it sounded like it was right outside my window too, but I was pretty sure it was a neighbor shooting them straight up.

Didn't last long. Was just a few quick, but loud bursts. I just remember lookin' at the clock and seein' 2AM

Yea, that's uncalled for.

You absolutely should. No "maybe" about it, if they were actually shooting them into your backyard or at a low enough angle that that's where they would obviously go.

How well do you know the guy? Well enough to give him a call while any future potential problems at the property are in progress? He might appreciate that before a call to the fuzz. That is if you were to ever be so inclined to call them, of course.

Thanks, but at this point I'm looking for information on how its done...
Don't you just list a property you own on AirBNB, and that's about it?

What else would there be?

Only thing might be any local restrictions on short term rentals, but that'd be relative to the particular area of your AirBNB listing.

Google says: Hosting on Airbnb requires you to be at least 18, verify your identity, and ensure your listing is safe, accurate, and meets habitability standards

I also noticed this.

You must accurately disclose amenities, house rules (e.g., quiet hours, no smoking),

You should ask the owner of the property what his quiet hours are, and ask him to emphasize no fireworks at 1AM

Because, and fortunately for him, taking a dump in public is not currently on the list of things one can legally be shot for in Texas.
Made me smirk. Good to know that the old Texas spirit still lives...even if it doesn't cover random acts of defecation.

Pretty sure no jury would convict you if you shot him in the bare ass with a BB gun.
