CHAD-CHOP, anyone? Defund the po-po? I saw a darkly humorous video of Seattle cops called to remove a vagrant, sleeping in a car in an apartment parking lot.

The car was stolen. On to of the dash to hide the VIN plate on the dash, was a stack of mail - out of different addresses, apparently stolen.

The guy wouldn't wake up; the police used their cruisers to pin him in. He came to suddenly, rammed six police cars with his stolen car...and the sergeant, by radio, ordered the six cops NOT to pursue him.

They didn't have to, in the end - he blew out the car transmission. But STILL they couldn't arrest him because he'd locked himself in the car and they couldn't get permission to punch out a window!

This is the sort of Clown World that's supposed to be a good place to live?

Not bashing you personally...but, I'm sorry. The whole belt, from Seattle to San-Fran...is a mess.

Vancouver, Portland, the whole coast. It's contagious mental illness...and even those who don't have it, have to live with the chaos it causes.
 
Yeah, I know, but where I live is isolated from seattle proper by the Duwamish River. Two bridges provide access to the peninsula from the other side. There is no 'quick escape' back into the MLK hood for the hooligans causing trouble, so they tend to leave us alone.

FWIW, the vid I was referring to...was in what seemed a "nice" neighborhood, newish construction, lots of trees, rolling hills.

And the perp who stole mail and slept in his boosted car...was white. Just another morning in Seattle.

Here...found the vid. (It popped up in RECOMMENDED FOR YOU last night...the YT algos are learning I have twisted taste.)

 
If Kevin keeps those encounters up, he will be considered a repeat offender eventually.

I'm sure in nu yerk they woulda done just that. Maybe in LA too. But the cops don't kill too many peoples around here.
They do occasionally kill someone, usually for a good reason. I didn't think a drunk sleeping it off in a car qualifies around here.
There were 37 homicides in Seattle last year, none of them in West Seattle.

When he aimed the stolen car at a police cruiser, it's assault on LE with a deadly weapon. Answer with Lethal Force - and then, there's zero recidivism.

Didn't the computer voice in the end, say that all charges were dropped but one misdemeanor?

I have photos like that from our family summer retreat in Racquette Lake, NY.

The vegetation is quite similar - conifer, cedar, some paper birch. When I first was in Seattle, it amazed me how much some parts of it looked like the Adirondacks.

The problem, of course - both places - is the people. The people have gone mad. No, I do not think that Gnu Yuck is a good place to live. Or anywhere in Washington State, now.

They let that guy damage all those other people's vehicles just to not have to do what they should have done to begin with.

The instant he started the car they should have busted the window tased the f' outta that guy.

If he still didn't stop, then light his ass up.

All he learned from this episode is that he can do the same thing again and have little in consequences for it. By dismissing all but a misdemeanor he knows he can get away with shit like that.


Every cop has a tool to bust a car window. They could have put an end to it right there.

In their quest to not offend a criminal, they allowed him to cause tens of thousands of dollars in damages.

Who pays to fix all those cars? Are the private citizens whose cars got totaled, just out the money now? The police should have to pay to fix/replace all those cars.

As for not shooting someone using their car as a weapon, apparently you've never had someone aim their car at you?

If you had, you might feel differently about someone being shot for doing so.

A car is very much so a deadly weapon.

I'm quoting this because, after I turned the box off and headed out, that was exactly my thought.

That it's WELL that when I was in Kent, Washington, 36 years ago, I didn't wind up staying.

Because I'd have had a real problem fitting in.

Why do you think people do stuff like that, while having arm length rap sheets?

It's because they've learned that there is no real consequences for their behavior. So why should they stop? Then innocent people get their property, and sometimes their lives, destroyed.
....and all just to be kind to criminal's.

Again, who pays for the $100 thousand plus in damages that guy was allowed to cause? You'd be willing to just eat the cost of a new car?

Since you live there, can you maybe try to find out how stuff like that works there?

Who is expected to pay for such damage like we see happen in that vid?

Are the people who own those cars just screwed now? Is there some type of fund to pay for the damages?
 
Well, I salute them. The kids and their families.

But an underlying rot continues and progresses. I've seen it in four other regions, and I've seen it take over, in varying ways.

Cops Kill Baby Donkey

A late-night search of a Georgia woman's farm ended with a donkey named HeeHaw dead. Authorities in Cedartown say an unnamed officer has been placed on administrative leave while they investigate the Sunday shooting in Polk County.
Officers searching for a missing person entered his pasture at around 12:45am Sunday and shot the donkey. The Georgia woman says animal ran up to officers braying after they entered the pasture. "They claimed he ran up to them braying and they thought they were in danger and shot and killed him."

That's your reason to coddle criminals? That some police somewhere might make a mistake?

By that logic, no one should do anything at all, as everyone is subject to making mistakes.


I don't think killing that donkey was justified, but had the donkey been committing criminal acts and had a warrant for arrest and was endangering others with a motor vehicle while recklessly attempting to flee the scene and causing 10's of thousands of dollars in damages to innocent people's property, then yes, shoot the f'ing donkey.

I'm a bit lost on how you equate the wrongful killing of a donkey with the incident posted above where there was serious violations of the law, and the police stood by and did nothing about it other than to offer the criminal a cigarette.

Can cops not kill innocent donkeys as well as actually apprehending violent criminals?


So tell me. What would you do, and how would you feel if it was your car that got totaled by a wanted criminal that the police could have easily stopped prior to totaling your car, but didn't because they were trying to show kindness towards the criminal?

You would just eat the cost of your car's replacement and be happy that they allowed it to happen?

You might be well off enough to have full coverage on your car, and therefore not care.
...but what if all those people had was liability insurance on their cars?

Are They just out now? Do the police pay for their cars to be fixed? Does the criminal pay? Yes, he's got the money I'm sure. Soon as he goes and steals it from someone else. Lol

Put yourself in the shoes of the people whose way to work tomorrow morning just got totaled, and through no fault of their own.

How would you feel about it if it were YOU?

The difference is that the incident above with the cops letting the criminal do all that damage, wasn't in your town. It was in Seattle.

You're in West Seattle. Which obviously seems to be a smaller, and better town.

Do you have lots of crackheads, heroin junkies, fentanyl zombies and meth addicts roaming your town's streets?

Do you commonly see needles littering your town's streets?

Are there broken down RV's parked along residential streets that the homeless live in?

Would your town's police allow protesters to block their access to certain areas of town and call them autonomous zones?

Does stuff like that go on in your town?

The point is that they had ample time to have stopped him prior to him causing so much damage.

Didn't have to shoot him. Crack the window and tase him.

That's all they had to do the instant he started the car.

....and we're talking RV's being used as permanent homes. Most of them broken down and inoperable.

We've all seen the pics of it in several West coast cities.

Do you have those in your town? Or do they keep that shit cleared out of your town?

If I had started a thread on my town, people would be free to respond and ask questions too.

Look, I got no prob with you. I tend to like you around the forums. I enjoy many of your posts. So I'm NOT trying to make this a fight in any way.

All I am asking of you is to put yourself in the shoes of someone who comes out of their apartment and needs to go to work, but finds his car totaled because the cops were trying to not use any force to apprehend a criminal.

They clearly had the time and resources to have prevented almost all of the carnage that guy caused.

Would you be happy had that happened to your property?

And then I started watching every poster (except two) start dissin where I live and saying how degenerate we are, how fucked up people here are, ect, ect. I only wanted to show what a 'different' town seattle is. I immediately had to go on the defensive — HOLY SHIT!!
