CHAD-CHOP, anyone? Defund the po-po? I saw a darkly humorous video of Seattle cops called to remove a vagrant, sleeping in a car in an apartment parking lot.

The car was stolen. On to of the dash to hide the VIN plate on the dash, was a stack of mail - out of different addresses, apparently stolen.

The guy wouldn't wake up; the police used their cruisers to pin him in. He came to suddenly, rammed six police cars with his stolen car...and the sergeant, by radio, ordered the six cops NOT to pursue him.

They didn't have to, in the end - he blew out the car transmission. But STILL they couldn't arrest him because he'd locked himself in the car and they couldn't get permission to punch out a window!

This is the sort of Clown World that's supposed to be a good place to live?

Not bashing you personally...but, I'm sorry. The whole belt, from Seattle to San-Fran...is a mess.

Vancouver, Portland, the whole coast. It's contagious mental illness...and even those who don't have it, have to live with the chaos it causes.
 
Yeah, I know, but where I live is isolated from seattle proper by the Duwamish River. Two bridges provide access to the peninsula from the other side. There is no 'quick escape' back into the MLK hood for the hooligans causing trouble, so they tend to leave us alone.

FWIW, the vid I was referring to...was in what seemed a "nice" neighborhood, newish construction, lots of trees, rolling hills.

And the perp who stole mail and slept in his boosted car...was white. Just another morning in Seattle.

Here...found the vid. (It popped up in RECOMMENDED FOR YOU last night...the YT algos are learning I have twisted taste.)

 
If Kevin keeps those encounters up, he will be considered a repeat offender eventually.

I'm sure in nu yerk they woulda done just that. Maybe in LA too. But the cops don't kill too many peoples around here.
They do occasionally kill someone, usually for a good reason. I didn't think a drunk sleeping it off in a car qualifies around here.
There were 37 homicides in Seattle last year, none of them in West Seattle.

Yup.

When he aimed the stolen car at a police cruiser, it's assault on LE with a deadly weapon. Answer with Lethal Force - and then, there's zero recidivism.

Didn't the computer voice in the end, say that all charges were dropped but one misdemeanor?

I have photos like that from our family summer retreat in Racquette Lake, NY.

The vegetation is quite similar - conifer, cedar, some paper birch. When I first was in Seattle, it amazed me how much some parts of it looked like the Adirondacks.

The problem, of course - both places - is the people. The people have gone mad. No, I do not think that Gnu Yuck is a good place to live. Or anywhere in Washington State, now.

He only got out when he did because they offered him a cig?


They let that guy damage all those other people's vehicles just to not have to do what they should have done to begin with.

The instant he started the car they should have busted the window tased the f' outta that guy.

If he still didn't stop, then light his ass up.

All he learned from this episode is that he can do the same thing again and have little in consequences for it. By dismissing all but a misdemeanor he knows he can get away with shit like that.


Every cop has a tool to bust a car window. They could have put an end to it right there.

In their quest to not offend a criminal, they allowed him to cause tens of thousands of dollars in damages.

Who pays to fix all those cars? Are the private citizens whose cars got totaled, just out the money now? The police should have to pay to fix/replace all those cars.

As for not shooting someone using their car as a weapon, apparently you've never had someone aim their car at you?

If you had, you might feel differently about someone being shot for doing so.

A car is very much so a deadly weapon.

I'm quoting this because, after I turned the box off and headed out, that was exactly my thought.

That it's WELL that when I was in Kent, Washington, 36 years ago, I didn't wind up staying.

Because I'd have had a real problem fitting in.

Hey...in the words of that other sailor, the spinach man...I yam what I yam.

And what I'm getting, is low-tolerance for the bull excreta.

I kinda like the Bonnie-and-Clyde school of police-community relations.

I'm of the FAFO mindset.

And...with all this Wokery, coupled to all this data collection...AND the helpful importation of 40 million Instant Voters...here's where I'm at. I've said for decades, this schitt-show is only gonna end with America's version of the Moustache Man.

What's changed, now, is that I'm not dreading it anymore. I'm looking forward to it.

Garbage like what's in that video, is part of why I'm there.

Why do you think people do stuff like that, while having arm length rap sheets?

It's because they've learned that there is no real consequences for their behavior. So why should they stop? Then innocent people get their property, and sometimes their lives, destroyed.
....and all just to be kind to criminal's.

Again, who pays for the $100 thousand plus in damages that guy was allowed to cause? You'd be willing to just eat the cost of a new car?

Since you live there, can you maybe try to find out how stuff like that works there?

Who is expected to pay for such damage like we see happen in that vid?

Are the people who own those cars just screwed now? Is there some type of fund to pay for the damages?
 
Well, I salute them. The kids and their families.

But an underlying rot continues and progresses. I've seen it in four other regions, and I've seen it take over, in varying ways.
