PILOT EJECTED AFTER FIGHTER JET FAILED LANDING NEAR FORT WORTH MILITARY BASE​

Bystanders watched as an F-35B fighter jet nose dived into the ground and ejected its pilot following a failed landing reportedly near the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth Thursday. According to White Settlement police, the pilot was "safe and under observation."

The jet became unstable. Could be a malfunction and he feared the situation could quickly become worse. Those ejection seats are what is called “zero-zero”. Meaning you can safely eject with zero altitude and zero airspeed.
