PILOT EJECTED AFTER FIGHTER JET FAILED LANDING NEAR FORT WORTH MILITARY BASE

What pilot is going to eject ON THE GROUND? You're more likely to be killed by the liftoff than you are from the crash-landing.

Definite Brain Fog.

The jet became unstable. Could be a malfunction and he feared the situation could quickly become worse. Those ejection seats are what is called “zero-zero”. Meaning you can safely eject with zero altitude and zero airspeed.
