Yeah

The hard part is the idea. Once I get an idea, takes me (generally) 5-10 minutes to find the "right" existing video on YouTube to serve as the base and download it. Usually takes me an hour or two to edit it - chopping down the original video (cutting out parts that don't serve my purpose), adding subtitles, background graphics from my collection of memes, animating overlays that need to move on the screen, etc. Some videos are more labor intensive than others. Some literally take like 20 minutes total. Longest one I remember took me ~5 hours. I learned some tricks on animating the overlays that has helped cut down time dramatically, so that's nice.

I enjoy doing it though. It's fun to create them and realize the vision in my head on the screen (more or less).
 
From what I've seen I think some peeps may be imitating you, especially on X.
 
In my latest video, I learned two new tricks for animating sprites (objects) and the results are amazing...
