Which is worse? Trump Derangement, or Trump Cultism?

I dunno. They ALL look insane to me.

I'm in that very-small crowd on the sidelines...we all took our Black Pills....

Simply making fun of and pointing out the truth of TDS'ers does not make one a Trump cultist.

The TDS'ers have been grossly over the top in their rhetoric against Trump since day one.
.....and they suddenly rail against things that they used to support, simply because Trump has taken that position.

That's what makes it a derangement syndrome.

It is not logical to change positions simply because you refuse to hold the same position as someone you dislike.

I mostly support Trump not due to being blinded by a cult, but rather because the alternatives being presented are so much worse.

Is Trump perfect? Absolutely not. Far from it.

However, the alternative is to give power to even worse people.

The Right being split on absolute principle only serves to either let the old guard Dems get back in, or to allow the new wave of socialists to take charge.

Trashing Trump and maga without a viable alternative, simply helps those two groups seize power.
.....and we'll all be more than f'ed if that happens.

They both want to finish the job Obozo started of fundamentally changing America.

Opposing that is not a cult.

It wasn't intended as a personal attack.

I'm talking about the cultists, and others who have vested interest, pointing to the insane, illogical 3am babblings of this...man...and telling us how brilliant it all is, how we just don't get it, trust Q, yada yada.

So, deporations have stopped; data-centers continue at enhanced speed, and GIVEN a semi-face-saving way out of Iraq (which FFS we should never have started) he THREW IT AWAY. We're back to the chaos...that may well be Nuttin' Yahoo's plan.

Pointing THIS out does not make ME a TDS patient.

It makes me a (former, now) voter who expected promises kept, and some semblance of rational foreign police and economics.

Read "Erdogan’s revolver diplomacy left Nato leaders with a loaded problem" on SmartNews: https://l.smartnews.com/p-85zByohO/v0sUNi Apparently, the custom of giving men leaders guns confuses the modern leadership in Europe, they didn't know what to do with a custom .357 Magnum revolver...I'm crying for mankind.

TDS'ers are the ones who created T cultism when they couldn't reckon with logical thinkers.

There's gonna be a period of years, I fear, where these farcical battery golf-carts are the only transportation allowed.

Which of course means that most of us can't, or won't, have personal transportation. The cost will be way too high; the utility absent, and those in dense residential settings (apartments, townhouses, without designated parking areas) won't be able to charge them.

We walk or take a bus filled with Haitians or Sikhs or Ollie Snackbars. And the likelyhood of being unalived, will be quite high.

The prison-city imposed.

That won't last, of course, but it may take longer than a decade to work out. That's assuming that industrial society carries on, which is not a given. In any event, many of us don't have 20 years to look forward to.

It is what it is. My parents traveled extensively in retirement - including by personal car. BUT...their parents did NOT. Neither of their mothers owned a car. My father's stepfather was an Hungarian immigrant and didn't own a car - very modest income. My mother's father loved Packard automobiles - but that ended with his 1940 death. Her uncles drove a Cadillac and a Rambler...the Rambler jockey had limited income; the Cadillac pilot owned his own business and still worked. Neither of them did much traveling outside the city they lived in.

So, the pendulum do swing. I won't have the pleasant, easy-payment retirement my parents enjoyed, with trips to Europe or Florida or Colorado.

You do realize that in the first six months of this year, approx 500 people have been killed for various reasons by Officers of local police departments?

That's all-cause. Ie: justified killings as well as accidental ones.

We rarely hear of any of them.
....yet if ICE has any at all, it's billed as a total disaster worthy of defunding or even abolishing the agency over.

Whether this one was truly accidental of someone who was an innocent by stander or if it was someone fleeing or trying to harass (Goode) or get in the way of ICE and interfere with them doing their jobs (Pretti*), it doesn't matter.

Because anytime you put any person in a situation where life and death decisions have to be made in fractions of a second, sometimes mistakes will happen.

Wr'ee all hamun and pnone to mkae mistkaes sometimes.

To have police (men with guns enforcing the State's will) means that inevitably there will be at least some amount of carnage in their wake. (500 people already this year)

We used to accept that as part of the price society pays in order to have police at all.

As in, I remember hearing of people killed by police all my life, but never did it result in efforts to defund and get rid of all of 'em.

We accept 40,000+ dying on the highways every year.

We can't handle two killed so far this year by ICE on the streets?

Sometimes there are bad endings to law enforcement interactions, but in most situations they do a lot of good.

ICE has gotten a lot of illegal immigrants who have committed crimes after coming here.

You don't support keeping illegal aliens here after they have committed further crimes beyond illegally entering our nation, do you?

Can ya imagine how f'ed it's be if there were no police at all?
.....and all the bad guys and wanna-be bad guys took advantage of that fact?

*Pretti shooting was supposedly border patrol, not ICE.

ICE can shoot as many illegals as they need to but the po-po killing dogs pisses me off to no end.
Especially when pepper spray is so effective on them.

A good shot of that up their snoot, will make even the most aggressive dog not want anything to do with you. Have personally used it numerous times to fend off aggressive dogs pursuing me. Been bit twice, but neither time I had pepper spray on me. It woulda easily prevented it both times.

It's good stuff. Keep you from getting bit and teaches the dog not to do that shit while allowing him to keep his life.

After all, dogs are instinctual and can't help themselves from doing dog things.
.....but they can learn from experience too.

I can understand shooting a dog that is actually attacking or showing serious signs of imminent attack, (if pepper spray isn't available) but I've seen too many where the dog wasn't being aggressive at all, and still got shot.

What's even worse is they then just let it yelp in pain as it slowly dies.
At that point they should put it out of it's misery, cause it's not as though they are going to rush it to the vet for emergency surgery to try to save it's life.
