Have you seen these ads yet? Lot's of pom pom waving stuff promising that Japan ... "isn't dead yet" (my characterization). I found it surreal when watching one of them the first time.

Also, it's strange that I can't find a single news report or press release talking about the ad campaign, nor a video of it on youtube.
 
Well, I posted that over a year ago, so if you didn't see them back in March-April of last year, you probably missed the window.
