This morning I was walking out to the running track at a nearby school and saw a single prop Cessna type plane flying low in the sky. The plane was being followed close behind by a military jet. I'm not a plane guy so I have no idea what type of jet it was, but it wasn't any of the usual ones I'm use to seeing in our skies. The jet was tracking the plane and following close behind. Seemed dangerously close to me. It was also loud. It took me a few seconds to realize that the jet was chasing the plane out of the area as we have restricted airspace because Trump is in town and Air Force One flew in to nearby Ellington airfield.
After my jog, as I'm walking home, cars are stacking up at the intersection where folks turn in to the school to drop off their kids (the ones that don't walk or ride a bus). As I approach the intersection, I see a shiny blue sports car turning left right in front of me. I don't recognize the car model. Is it a Ferrari, Lambo or 'Vette? As the car is passing the passenger side window is rolled down and I see the man driving and his daughter in the passenger seat. The car passes and I see the manufacturer logo on the back of the car. McLaren. Really dude?
