According to reports, one person is in critical condition, and another was arrested after an apparent street racing crash on the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville, TX, on Wednesday.

When I was going to college in Austin, we'd here local news reports about folks racing and crashing/dying on RM 2222 pretty frequently (perhaps monthly). That road was infamous for being dangerous.

... After crossing Loop 360, RM 2222 continues southeast 3.6 miles (5.8 km) to Loop 1 (Mopac Boulevard). This section is a winding, scenic four-lane road built into the cliffs over Lake Austin ...

That said, there seems to be a real street racing problem going on in Houston these days with young folks (gangs? maybe). I see reports in the local news about it almost weekly now. Thanks Fast and Furious movie series for glorifying stupidity.

I saw that as well. I think he figured the vette would pull over a lane and let him escape... he figured wrong.

What I find interesting is the guy talking about baseball while the crash happens and he never says a word about the severe MVA that just occurred in front of him.

Wouldn't it be normal to at least say exclaim something like OMG? Lookatthat...

Is it real or is it memorex?

Pretty sure the baseball talk is coming from the radio, so it makes sense for there to be no reaction.

...and besides that, if the person was driving alone in the car, there would no one to make a comment to.
