Syria's main exports include agricultural products like olive oil, calcium phosphates, and raw cotton, while major imports include raw materials for industry and agriculture, and equipment. We know they have oil, we are stealing it still is we still have troops there

It appears Turkey and Israel are getting ready to fight over the remains...I'm rooting for Turkey as it won't cost us more in welfare.

Trump announces plan to lift punishing sanctions on Syria

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he plans to lift sanctions on Syria following last year’s fall of the Assad regime, saying the move will “give them a chance at greatness.”

The removal of the sanctions is a significant win for the Syrian government led by Ahmed al-Sharaa, who seized power after the stunning defeat of the Assad regime in December. Two US soldiers killed by gunman in Syria, others wounded

A gunman opened fire on American and Syrian troops during a joint field patrol near Palmyra, Syria, on Saturday, killing two U.S. Army soldiers and a U.S. civilian interpreter, and wounding three others.

At least three Syrian security members were also shot, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The group said the gunman was a member of the Syrian security force. The suspected attacker was killed.

The wounded were flown by helicopters to the al-Tanf garrison near the border with Iraq and Jordan.

Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell announced the incident in a post on X.
