Josh Hawley pushes new bill to undo GOP's Medicaid cuts he just voted for​

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) is out with a new piece of legislation that would effectively repeal a large provision of the bill he just helped pass into law, Axios reported Tuesday.

His new bill, which he calls the "Protect Medicaid and Rural Hospitals Act," would "repeal a provider tax moratorium and the future reduction of provider tax authority in the reconciliation bill," reported Sabeen Habeshian. The provision is responsible for hundreds of billions worth of Medicaid cuts in the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act."

Whether legal or not we deserve to know the truth of who was running our Govt. while using this brain dead moron as a puppet on a string. In his final year I doubt Biden could even be trusted to put his underwear on right let alone given the power to use or not use 4,000 nuclear weapons. So who exactly had this power ? They certainly weren't elected representatives of the people, which is what a Democracy is supposed to be based on.

And all those retroactive pardons for all those people not even currently under investigation ? WTF is that all about ? Imagine if Trump did that ? All you Leftwits would be screaming and whining like 2yo's who dropped their dinner spoon.

There is a path but it involves radical change and I think the chance it happens are declining rapidly by the day. But we just can't know for sure UNTIL the economy goes poof. Then we find out what was really happening.

They could keep it simple, with simply a deferred $1000 tax-credit for newborns. Multiply it according to whatever rate an actual capital investment would multiply - say, the way this actual investment might multiply. Make the tax-credit saleable to education institutions for tuition, say. If there are still non-government universities out there in 20 years.
