the city might have to cancel a 4 day festival. a new state law requires volunteers who are around kids to go thru a back ground check. Such a check per this law costs $50.

prior fests just happened.


but this new law is for the children.

I dont care one way or the other.

This is a case of regulations costing money. They might actually cancel the whole thing over it.
