WHO in the USA lets you visit their gold mine?

At some point our next vacation will be "my trip" (I usually let my wife pick where we go, she chooses pretty well, hey, bearings just roll, OK!?).

I have decided that I want to learn much more about gold this year and next. One area where I am way deficient is in gold mining. (And refining. And distribution.) What companies let people come in and take pictures? FOR SURE I would write 'em up (if they want).

[I would take pictures of those BIG bearings they use in the Cat trucks and mining equipment too...]

Most industry has a prohibition on taking pictures within operating units. You would likely need special permission to take pictures at any site.

My father has visited the Kennecot mine that collapsed recently and he was amazed at the operation they had going there.
