Better than gold? $100,000 for US athletes who make the Winter Olympics and Paralympics

NEW YORK (AP) — The stakes for all these U.S. skiers, skaters, snowboarders and sliders over the next 100 days could not be more clear.

A chance for Olympic glory.

A chance to compete for a gold medal.

And this year, for the first time, a chance to make $100,000.

Thanks to a recent record $100 million donation to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation, athletes who make the U.S. Olympic or Paralympic teams starting next year in Milan-Cortina will be eligible to receive a $100,000 award when they retire.

Awww....interest is lagging, among athletes? They no like the chix-wif-dix in the ladies' lockers; or the opening ceremonies' salutes to Satanism? Or the annoying Alphabet Liars, there to smear any athlete whose personal life and opinions, do not comport with the Approved Narratives?

So now they are gonna PAY them, to stand there and subjugate themselves to the Prince of Darkness and all the queer deviancy the organizers can devise.

I don't know if it'll draw moar athletes. It will absolutely not add to viewers, already bilious with Woke insanity.

The Russians won't be there so the medals will be meaningless, plus the israelis will be there so there will be protests...Lake Placid Olympics again. Carter is dead so at least he can't fuck it up.

I'm with Casey on this. I have ZERO interest in the Olympics,....winter or summer and for exactly the reasons he laid out.

0:20 Okay, I'm done.
The initial image looks like she is wearing a steel garbage can.

Made me spit my coffee. But, yer right...

Notice, too, the slave getup the MALE runner has to wear, as he genuflects to the priestesses of Hypergamy...

GIVE .A .SHIT......:rolleyes::cautious:

Every time politicians get involved with the Olympics, it goes to hell.

Russia keeps hoping that everything will go back to normal after the Ukraine Azov situation is resolved - normal trade, cars from Japan and Germany; technology from the US, clothing from European fashion labels.

It will not. This is a new chapter. What traditions of freedom survives this Fourth Turning, will survive in Russia, it seems. Because of course they're a lot closer to their last Fourth Turning than are we. They remember. They're building a new society and it's working.

They learned from the West, while the West forgot.

But there's no room for Olympic-style international spectacles in this Brave New World. Just as there's not going to be free movement of goods on the high seas - as what's left of America, now abandons that principle. Russia is not rich enough or with enough stature to police the seas, the way the Allied and later US Navy did.

They would be well-advised to hunker down themselves - learn to survive as an isolationist society. All that comes from the former Western "democracies" will be toxic.
