Both Yank Gold Buffalo's and Canuck Gold Maples are made from 1oz of purer 24 kt .9999 gold but why are the Maples always so much cheaper ?

Not occasionally cheaper but always cheaper ? Right now my gold consists of ASE's and Krugers but next time to the plate I want to step up to a more pure coin and at the prices I see, as much as I admire the Yank Buffalo's, one gets more for their money with the Maples. Which is another beautiful coin. The Britannias too for that matter, another .9999 coin. Philharmonics and kangaroos too while were talking about it. The premiums on the Buffalos are rather insane despite their beauty so why would anyone buy them ?

Yes 1 oz of gold is 1 oz of gold but I'm talking premiums and out the door prices as well as sometimes wanting the beauty of .9999 gold.

Gold Buffalo coins are legal tender in the USA with a nominal face value of $50. This means that they (supposedly!) enjoy protection by the Secret Service against counterfeiting. Some folks pay a premium for that added peace of mind.
