Remember the old Tide tevee commercials?

Aimed at housewives (remember THOSE?). Lots of kids in polyester slacks and button-down shirts (remember those? We all looked like the Brady Bunch, except that the girls had bigger hooters than Marcia's). The kids on the commercials would be rolling in dirt.

And the clothes came out CLEAN! Tide used to have a tagline - "The Washday Miracle".

Now we've just taken it one step further. In one more realm...back about 1970, I remember it was a hoot for a bunch of my older brother's friends, male, to cross-dress as cheerleaders for the school Halloween dance. Now we take Let's-Pretend into the operating room...with Uncle Sugar's money...and do a cut-and-paste.
