It's going to take a few months for Au & Ag to make new highs again. There is at least one of these drops every years. I went through this last year and rode a bunch of gains down only to reclaim them plus a lot more. You cannot time the paper market and many of my equities are leveraged where stop losses are mostly ineffective.

I am not surprised this happened on a Friday. Are the Chinese markets open at this time, 10am eastern?

I'd say 5/8 of fuck all, this is an act of active manipulation, one of the most egregious of all time. As such, this is waaaaay above Powell's pay grade.
