Overall are you happy with the way you have stacked ? Any regrets or things you would have done differently ?

I know I played around with numismatics when I started but if I had to do it over again I would have just spent on pure weight/re-sellable gold and silver. Don't get me wrong, I love the numismatic hobby, but who saw $80+ silver coming and record gold too ? As much as I love seateds, Morgans, even semi-num's like Libertads, I'd have to go the pure weight for cash route. Boring yes but fiscally responsible.

More rounds then coins. This is no biggie and in the end didn't lose me much. But I'm an admitted coin-o-holic. I simply love the Govt. backed coins of the world but If I had to do it again I think my ratio would be more skewed towards rounds then I did. I went over my stack today and dang ! its worse then I thought. Especially recently when coins just dont cost you much more then rounds, if anything at all. Even ASE's my guy is selling me at 1 or $2 more then rounds.

Hard to say what the % of gold in a stack should be because gold has got so expensive. But I know when I started I'd have bought a bit more gold then I did. Overall I have a smallish stack but I'm happy with it.

Happy. Its not big but fun enough. I own two GIM rounds. Everything else is a coin. Zero full ozs of of gold. Even Ag is lots of fractional.
Kinda equal in “value” Au:Ag, especially now the 40% halves and war nickels are worth something.

I'm DAMN happy with my Stack 😁

I brought 90% of it in January 2020. I brought more Gold when the price pulled back in September 2024.

April of 2025 with the GSR at 105:1 I swapped 3 oz of Gold for 300 oz of Silver.

I'm just waiting for the GSR to drop below 45:1 & swap 150 oz of Silver back for my 3 oz of Gold.

I then have all my Gold Stack + 150 oz of more Valuable Silver ( I have more Silver ;) )

Yeah, I'm happy with that 😎

My DCA on my stack is about 15 an oz. I'm happy with that. I just posted in another thread that if we break 100 I will probably sell my 100 oz bars. That would cover the cost of the entire stack that I have left and when this parabolic move is over I can buy back in for more ounces for the same money. When we pull back I do think 50 will hold. It was strong resistance for so long that I do think it will become support. I'll be buying back at those levels. If ag doesn't break 100 in the next couple weeks before the pullback begins then I will just buy more when we bottom.

After ignoring my stack for several years I decided to organize it and make it more secure over the past several months. At this point I'm very happy with my stack. I'm about equal in value of AG Bullion and Junk. There are parts of my silber stack that are just boring like 10 oz AG bars on the bullion side and a couple hundred FV of quarters on the junk side. Can't help it, but to me George Washington Quarters are just blahhhh. But I see the necessity of them.

It's kind of fun to know I have a fair amount of my stack that I bought from a bunch of YOU guys that came over here from GIM2, although I cant quite remember what I bought from whom. I mean, I know that I acquired certain items from GIM members but I don't quite remember who I got them from. I think I bought some stuff from Uncle Walt, Know Why, Irons, Spinal Cracker, Mr Lucky,..... possibly Goldhedge, Bottom Feeder, Voodoo & Ttazzman (I think)??

I still wish I had a just a bit more AU but I feel much better after my recent trade. I might just bite the bullet and get 2 more oz of it just to get to a goal I've been shooting for. I definitely wont be trading off any more of my silber. If I don't buy those 2 more oz's,.... I'm still very happy with my (our) stack.

I wish I had been smarter as a kid in the 70s to coin roll hunt and stack 90% silver instead of buying comics and candy at the local corner store.

HAH! I wasn't a kid but I did collect quarters in the late 60s. I had about $80.00 worth When I met Sarah and her 10 year old son. Eventually we got together and she and her son started spending the night with me.
Y'all know where this is headed…
One day I went to put another discovered quarter in my silber stash — and it was gone!
<heh> Spent on comics and candy.

I was buying platinum before it was cool and it's as big as my silver stack.

Similar story but with a different twist. We as a family started saving junk silver in 1969. My uncle convinced us it was the thing to do. We always looked through our change and pulled out anything pre-65. Anyways most of the time my dad would replace our dimes/quarters/halves if we put them in the "Jar".

In the late 70's through mid 80's my mom managed a Burger King that was very close to a school. She always worked up front during the lunch hour rush. She discovered some kids who would come in and pay for their meals with junk silver and even silver certificates. My mom would dutifully replace those currencies with her own legal tender.

After my folks passed in 2015 I made a visit to their bank to collect the contents of their Safety Deposit box. Wow, what a nice stash. Me and one other sibling split it, the others got my parents jewelry.
