Hello Pentagon, what do you think of Biden's new and costly green mandates for weapons?
Thanks to president Biden, The Pentagon Marches Off to Climate War.

A little-noticed rule-making proposed by the Department of Defense, NASA and the General Services Administration last month would require federal contractors to disclose and reduce their CO2 emissions as well as climate financial risks. The rule would cover 5,766 contractors that have received at least $7.5 million from the feds in the prior year.
For example, weapons manufacturers would have to quantify and disclose the amount of CO2 generated from their own facilities; manufacturers that produce steel, computer chips and motors used in their weapons; propellants and fuel; and even munition storage areas. It’s unclear if CO2 emissions will influence procurement decisions.
Large contractors would also have to publish an annual climate disclosure and develop “science-based targets” to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with the goals of the 2015 Paris agreement. That means contractors will have to aim to zero out emissions and possibly require their contractors to do so.
Will Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Technologies have to redesign weapons systems and aircraft to be powered by lithium-ion batteries? China mines and processes the critical minerals used in batteries and other green technologies that will be required to meet these “science-based targets.”
The proposed rule would also apply to non-defense contractors, including pharmaceutical, shipping and tech companies, though it curiously exempts universities, nonprofit research institutions and state and local governments.
No, that isn't the Onion, I am quoting. It's the Wall Street Journal.

Well, that's OK.

It will add to inflation and bigger budgets. Who doesn't want that?

Besides, I expect an announcement soon that President Biden got Russia, China, and North Korea, to agree to the same rules so they are fair across the board.

Yes, the Pentagon loves it. Astute observation.

Q: Why?
A: They will get much bigger budgets but will either ignore the climate targets or lie about meeting them.

Nukes are kinda bad for the environment. Are we going to make clean nukes now or just do away with them? (Like sell them to Iran or China). No more bullets either, those go bang and make pollution. Electric Amored personnel carriers and tanks. Great idea. How about some electric fighters? This Biden guy is an absolute genius.

Back in the 1970'S the Greenees were defiantly against the nuke plants with assorted claims that revolved around the globe entering a nuclear winter with devastation for all. Now all of a sudden the Greenees love nuke power. Liberals it seem are never able to make up their minds beyond destructing that what is. Incidentally I have a humorous saying from the 1970's that some may remember regarding that great liberal Ted Kennedy referring to the nuke power accident at Three Mile Island:

"More people died in Kennedy's car than at Three Mile Island."

<<<<=lol...it's still funny to one that lived through it>>>

Edsl48 from twitter by Gwendolyn Johnson saying that China must be dumbfounded about their good luck in seeing that the Pentagon is having the arms providers certify their green energy programs doesn't begin to tally the impact of China's good luck.

We have the President's son (the disgraced Hunter) running an investment program for the Chinese that a few years was estimated to be hundreds of million of dollars (not yuan) and no one is interested that according to the Hunter laptop that 10% is for the big guy. Isn't that China buying the "good offices" of the president of the US? This directive from whom ever appears to be the Presidency interfering in the purchasing of the Pentagon and dragging on weapon development of this nation. Almost the detriment to us and "good luck" of the Chinese.

What is going on here appears to be an indication that the President and his son are putting the Chinese first, money into their pockets, and America last.

The White House offered measured support for the idea of studying how to block sunlight from hitting Earth’s surface as a way to limit global warming, in a congressionally mandated report that could help bring efforts once confined to science fiction into the realm of legitimate debate.

The controversial concept known as solar radiation modification is a potentially effective response to fighting climate change, but one that could have unknown side effects stemming from altering the chemical makeup of the atmosphere, some scientists say.
