Ya know, if I concealed carry everywhere I would have a holster for my weapon. It's kinda stupid to be carrying it around in yer pants waistband now wouldn't it? But, if I needed to step out to confront some assholes threatening peoples I might just stick it in my pants like nurse Pretti did.
If yer goin to a gunfight don't bring a whistle. He didn't.

In the summertime, when it is very hot and humid around these parts, I typically wear cargo shorts and a golf shirt. I just stick a Smith and Wesson Airweight Bodyguard (Model 638) in my front pants pocket. No holster needed.

When the weather is cool, I tend to carry larger weapons and have all kinds of holsters for those.

I had one of those, Cisco. I got rid of it because of the covered hammed.
And it kicked like a mule.

The Model 638 doesn't have the shrouded hammer. Instead, it has a bobbed hammer that rests between two small "rails". You can still pull the "hammer" back and fire the gun in single action mode.

It does kick. Particularly with the +P rounds I use. I put some Houge grips on it which helps a little.

But when it is 98 degrees out and you're only wearing shorts and a t-shirt or a golf polo, there just aren't that many good concealed carry options. This gives me 5 rounds of jacketed hollow points, which is better than having nothing I figure.

I don't support what ICE is doing because of who is in office. I'm supporting them because they are doing what is right.

I think every one of these illegals have to go. They aren't US citizens ; They entered illegally, most of them 3rd world scum, scammers, thieves, mentals, felonious thugs, gangsters, drug dealers. At best they go right on welfare which gives the idiots in MN. enough to get them voting cards and open "Learing Centers" in order to fleece the idiots out there in the freezing cold. Now they are strapping on guns to help them impede and assault Federal officers.

We were a sanctuary city for these free loaders and who the hell knows who they are, where they came from, and what theyv done? Theres no box to check for "Illegal" on case reports or arrest reports. We were prevented from any kind of interaction with Federal LE regarding illegals. Arrest one for robbery or felony theft and they got I-bonded right out. They wouldn't show up to court and would just ignore warrants, at most they would and just maybe change names. Addresses were easy. A property owner would be forced to rent out a 3 bedroom and within a few days there'd be 12 pairs of shoes outside the door because they would rent out bedroom space to each other and before you knew it your building would be infested with roaches and your Legit renters would be chased out.

Meanwhile the fat and happy Democrat Politicians would be lighting up cigars in back rooms congratulating themselves on their new voting base. Especially since they would be living nowhere near them as they happily screwed the actual Americans, supported by the news media and various revolutionary groups. Just wait until summer when ANTIFA and BLM loose their paid army to really burn, loot, and murder.

And thats the reality. LOL I spent 18 mos in Martial Law Turkey and saw "real" fascism. The kind that makes ICE look like Bozo's Circus.

From what I've heard Bovino is out, Homan is in. Supposedly lotta ICE peeps leaving with Bovino.

Late night meet up with T and Noem.

Maybe a de-escalation is at hand.

Edit to add:

Body cams were worn by the ICE peeps who shot Mr. Pretti and are being reviewed.

Forensic expert points out ‘strange’ moment people may have missed in Alex Pretti ICE shooting

A forensic expert is drawing attention to a “strange” moment people may have missed in the videos showing the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti on January 24.

Last than a month after the death of Renee Nicole Good, the 37-year-old mother killed in Minneapolis on January 7, Immigration and Customs Enforcement find themselves at the center of controversy once again.

Pretti, an ICU nurse who regularly helped U.S. veterans, lost his life in Minneapolis this past Saturday, being pepper sprayed, restrained, and eventually shot multiple times by ICE agents.

As was the case in the aftermath of the Renee Good shooting, the Department of Homeland Security immediately claimed Pretti had “violently resisted” officers, while also revealing that he had been carrying a 9mm handgun.

What they didn’t say is that Pretti had a permit to conceal carry the firearm, not to mention the fact that it was holstered when his interaction with the agents in question began. Shocking video footage appears to have since proven that Pretti’s gun was taken from his person by an agent before he was shot to death.

Definitely related but in a different light.

Minnesota killings traced all the way to Supreme Court by legal experts

A legal expert described Monday how the Supreme Court's previous rulings have led to why ICE agents have acted as they have acted "under the made-up banner of 'absolute immunity'" in the wake of the fatal shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis.

Dahlia Lithwick, host of Slate's Amicus podcast, in a conversation with Alex Reinert, the Max Freund Professor of Litigation and Advocacy at Cardozo School of Law, discussed how the Supreme Court made Alex Pretti's killing at the hands of ICE agents in Minneapolis more likely.

The concept of "qualified immunity," which first originated and was first introduced by the high court in a Freedom Riders case in 1967, evolved into a further doctrine, and under the case Harlow v. Fitzgerald, "the Supreme Court said: We also think there should be an immunity doctrine that applies to federal officials," Reinert explained.

Thought this an interesting read.

I was an ICE agent in Minnesota – the Trump team has cranked tensions up to 1,000

Eric O’Denius served 24 years with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He retired from the agency in 2021, having worked in Minnesota’s custody division, rising from detention enforcement officer to deportation officer.

After stepping back, O’Denius had planned to travel and spend time with loved ones.

But recent events have left the 54-year-old struggling to comprehend the turn the US has taken, as well as the role his former employer is playing in tensions across US cities such as Chicago, Portland and Minneapolis.

On Saturday, a 37-year-old nurse, Alex Pretti, was shot dead by Border Patrol agents in south Minneapolis. It was the second fatal shooting by federal agents in the city this month after Renee Nicole Good was killed on 7 January – events O’Denius says reinforced his decision to retrain as a paralegal.

was the gun 'holstered' or stuck in his waistband?

From everything I've heard it was holstered, ICE removed it before shooting Mr. Pretti. If the ICE peeps did, in fact, have body cams this should come out.

The info I've got, along with pics, all come from bystanders / protesters so you have to take it fwiw.

ICE chief ordered to appear in Minnesota federal court, judge threatens contempt ruling

  • A top federal judge in Minnesota ordered the acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Todd Lyons, to personally appear in court in Minneapolis on Friday to explain why he should not be held in contempt of court due to actions by his agency.
  • U.S. District Court Chief Judge Patrick Schiltz accused federal immigration authorities of failing to comply with "dozens of court orders" in recent weeks.
  • The order came days after federal agents fatally shot Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse on a Minneapolis street, and weeks after an ICE agent shot and killed mom of three Renee Good in her car.
A top federal judge in Minnesota ordered the acting head of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to personally appear at a hearing in Minneapolis on Friday to explain why he should not be held in contempt of court after his agency repeatedly violated judicial orders related to immigration enforcement actions.

The three-page order issued late Monday to ICE acting Director Todd Lyons by U.S. District Court Chief Judge Patrick Schiltz was scathing, accusing federal immigration authorities of failing to comply with "dozens of court orders" in recent weeks, including one issued by the judge mandating a bond hearing for a detained immigrant.

I seem to remember Minny-sota being on the federals side during the 1860 War of Northern Aggression.
Looks like they found out what that war was all about.

the Trump team has cranked tensions up to 1,000
The only ones cranking up tension are the idiots Dems and their 'tard brained "protesters".

Anyone concerned about so-called "innocent" illegal aliens who are getting caught up in ICE's activities in looking for illegal aliens who are known to have committed further crimes and been released into the community, are stupid.

If the locals and State would just turn those types over to ICE as they are arrested, none of the "tension" caused by the absurdly over the top reaction of the "protestors" would be happening.

We don't have stuff going on like that where I live, and more illegal aliens are deported from here than almost any other State.

Just like I don't see anything behind plexiglass at Walmart either.

It's only the places where TDS infected morons are in charge of everything, that has crap like this going on.

Gotta be against Trump, no matter how illogical it is in a particular situation. Lol

Seems a bit harsh Joe. Don't let stuff you have no control over upset you. Let's see how it all plays out. Maybe everything will come out in the wash.

Just like I don't see anything behind plexiglass at Walmart either.

Will be stopping at one in NE Philly tomorrow. I'll let you know if they've upped their plexiglass game since my last trip.

TDS infected morons

Seems a bit harsh Joe. Don't let stuff you have no control over upset you. Let's see how it all plays out. Maybe everything will come out in the wash.
It's not harsh at all.

It is in fact stupid to go protest about criminal illegal aliens being deported.
....and it is TDS causing all this BS going on.

This vid includes some clips of some politicians you like, actually agreeing with Trump's positions on illegal immigration.
....but it was from just before Trump ran for office. Ie: you know, before they had to be against anything Trump was for.

The only thing that changed between then and now, is that nearly half the nation has gone mad with TDS.

All the probs that existed when they made those comments are, by all accounts, worse now than they were then.
....so logic says that they should support what Trump is doing, if they want to be honest.

Obama deported 3 million of these unwashed illegals. Where were all the flag burners then when Black Jesus was throwing them out just for being here illegally ?

Obama deported 3 million of these unwashed illegals. Where were all the flag burners then when Black Jesus was throwing them out just for being here illegally ?

Black Jesus did things a bit differently than T.

BJ didn't have masked storm troopers with very little training running amuck in the streets.

Like you, I'd like to see the actually illegals deported, just not the way it's happening under T's watch.

Let's see what Grok has to say about BJ versus T methodology when it comes to deportations.:

Question
How many illegal aliens did President Obama deport while he was in office and what is the difference between Obama and Trump as to how the deportations were and are being carried out?

Answer
During his presidency from 2009 to 2017, President Obama oversaw approximately 3.1 million formal removals (the official term for deportations, which involve a legal order to leave the U.S.) of unauthorized immigrants.

migrationpolicy.org
This number does not include voluntary returns (around 2.2 million during the same period), which are quicker turnarounds at the border without formal legal consequences and were sometimes lumped into broader "deportation" counts in media discussions.

migrationpolicy.org
Obama's administration shifted enforcement toward more formal removals over returns compared to prior presidents, focusing heavily on border apprehensions (which rose as a share of total actions) while interior removals declined significantly—from about 182,000 in FY 2009 to 65,000 in FY 2016.

migrationpolicy.org
By the end of his term, over 90% of interior removals targeted individuals with serious criminal convictions, and 85% of all removals and returns involved recent border crossers.

migrationpolicy.org
The key differences in how deportations were carried out under Obama versus Trump (across Trump's first term from 2017-2021 and his ongoing second term starting in 2025) center on enforcement priorities, scope, and focus areas:
  • Priorities and Hierarchy: Obama's approach used a strict, tiered system established in 2014, prioritizing national security threats, serious criminals (based on convictions for felonies or significant misdemeanors), and recent border crossers, while deprioritizing long-term residents without criminal records or those with family ties through prosecutorial discretion.

    bipartisanpolicy.org
Trump's policies eliminated this hierarchy, broadly targeting nearly all unauthorized immigrants as priorities, including those with minor offenses (e.g., traffic violations), individuals merely charged with crimes (not necessarily convicted), or those perceived as risks by officers.

    bipartisanpolicy.org
  • Prosecutorial Discretion: Under Obama, agents had guidelines to exercise discretion, often sparing individuals with deep U.S. ties, and decisions required supervisory review.

    bipartisanpolicy.org
Trump's framework empowers frontline agents with minimal constraints or oversight, leading to a more decentralized, "bottom-up" enforcement that targets "low-hanging fruit" without exemptions based on residency length or minor infractions.

    bipartisanpolicy.org
  • Focus on Border vs. Interior: Obama's enforcement increasingly emphasized border removals (e.g., quick processing of recent entrants), which reduced recidivism but limited interior actions.

    migrationpolicy.org
Trump shifted toward more aggressive interior enforcement, expanding arrests away from the border, including in communities and workplaces, though border deportations remain significant (e.g., about half of the roughly 540,000 total deportations in the first year of his second term).

    nytimes.com
This change in nature—rather than just volume—has led to more disruptions in established immigrant communities under Trump.

    nytimes.com
Overall, Obama's strategy aimed to channel limited resources toward high-threat cases, resulting in higher formal removal numbers but with protections for certain groups. Trump's approach is more expansive and less selective, aiming for broader deterrence through increased interior operations and fewer safeguards.

The dif comes down to Trump having them enforce the law the same way it used to be enforced.

I seem to recall hearing about illegal alien raids quite often, and nobody was out protesting about it. It was just another piece of the news.
.....but at some point enough illegals weree here that the gov started coddling them for some dumb reason. Even as the so-called leaders talked tough on it. (Look up obozo's criticism of the shrub and repubs during his '08 campaign for having let 5 million illegals in)

The hag was the same. Talked tough on illegal immigration all the time, at least BT (ie: before Trump)

WTF happened to them and their opinions on illegal aliens, if not altered due to TDS?

lol Good stuff Joe.

Question Joe:

Is Tillis suffering TDS?

Apparently he does, if he thinks merely enforcing the laws that his branch of gov enacted, are destroying anything.

The only ones responsible for the chaos is the idiot Dems and their 'tarded protestors.

And what you aren't pointing out is that there are numerous reports that Pretti wasn't carrying identification on him at the time. That means he was not legally carrying a concealed firearm. You must have your concealed carry permit on you along with a photo ID if you wish to concealed carry.

That is because the police were cooperating with ICE and turning the illegals over to them as they were encountered and arrested. Because of severe TDS, police departments in these so-called sanctuary cities are releasing violent criminals back onto the streets. This means that ICE has no choice but to try to take them the hard way.

All of this violence is happening in just nine counties. All run by communist democrats. There are no rioting and violence happening where the police are working with ICE to rid our streets of this lawless scum.

Walz and Frey are trying to ramp up and encourage this lawlessness hoping that it takes the focus away from the rampant fraud where tens of billions of dollars of taxpayer money has been systematically stolen by them. I sincerely hope that it doesn't work. Both men need to be destroyed for what they have done to Minnesota.

This is how real Americans are supporting ICE.

The only places where there are problems are where communist democrats have established illegal "sanctuary cities" to protect their criminal voting base. Let's face facts - democrats need these criminals who are in our country illegally because no decent American wants to vote for them or their failed policies any longer.

EXCLUSIVE: ICE captures 2 illegal immigrants fleeing arrest in Maine after local lends them ATV

Katie Daviscourt
Seattle WA
Jan 28, 2026
In a scene resembling an action movie, a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent borrowed a resident's all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to chase down and apprehend two illegal aliens who attempted to flee on foot through deep, snowy Maine. The incident, captured on video exclusively obtained by The Post Millennial, occurred on January 22 near Little Ossipee Pond in Waterboro.

Video footage shows the two illegal aliens, dressed in dark clothing, running across a vast, frozen landscape. As they trudge through the snow, an ICE agent appears on scene, driving an ATV provided by a nearby resident to aid the pursuit. The subjects continued to flee, but struggled to make headway. The agent, now mounted on a four-wheeler, quickly closed the gap.

In a James Bond-style maneuver, the ICE agent approached the pair near a residential home. The footage captures the agent dismounting and brandishing a taser, resulting in both individuals surrendering. After instructing the subjects to get on the ground and put their arms behind their backs, the agent cuffed their wrists.

Subsequently, the two illegal aliens were loaded onto the back of the ATV and taken into custody. ICE sources told The Post Millennial that the pair fled on foot during an immigration enforcement operation targeting a construction company suspected of hiring illegal labor. The pair had been wearing hoodies emblazoned with the logo "GIANT," indicating employment with the construction company.

Local residents in Waterboro have reportedly been cheering on ICE agents, with some even providing direct assistance, like the loaned ATV, sources said. This is a stark contrast to the anti-ICE protests drawing media attention in Portland, Maine, which is the state's most highly populated city, located roughly 30 miles away. The broader immigration enforcement operation has seen over 200 arrests in Maine since its launch last week, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told a local paper.

Members of the public can report immigration-related crimes or suspicious activity by calling (866-347-2423) or completing the online tip form.

Early this morning I heard Homan give a presser. He talked like a normal person. No loud craziness, just sane stuff. After listening to him I think we'll see some major changes in how things will be done.

Could be wrong but from what I heard I believe things will be do in a similar way Black Jesus did things.

Time will tell, let's see what happens.

It already would be the same if the idiots would work with ICE, as opposed to actively fighting them.

The Democrats are absolute whack jobs. The Chicago Police were prevented from assisting ICE by Dept. General Order So all these felons we arrested were released right back onto the streets. And I'm talking some really bad hombre's here. Gangsters, drug dealers, killers, mentals, rapists. And they all learned the program within days on making it to Chicago not just because their chico's learned them but the idiot Liberals actually sent people, mostly college students who spoke some Espanola, into the neighborhoods and t.aught them how to game the system.

Meanwhile the gangs used them to Donkey the drugs because they had such fresh connections with "back home" and recent experience with illegal crossing. And since they were new blood they had no family ties for anyone to give a shit about. They were fresh meat and natural Tony Montana's. And it was so humiliating to be a cop working narco most of us just stopped giving a shit. That or joined the crew driving brand new custom Harly choppers on a Patrolmans salary. You can only eat shit for so long and these assholes wouldn't think twice about spitting on you, fighting you, doing everything they could to goad you into kicking the hell out of them.

I mean these illegals got the snot beat out of them so many times by the cops back home it was just another soccer match when it happened here. The difference is in America the dumb ass Americans pay you when you antagonize the Police and catch a crack. Often they pay you up to 7 figures and then erect statues of you and maybe make a TV movie of you if you catch some lead.

Like this "nurse" did, tho unfortunately for him caught a little to much lead. I'd bet anything tho his family members are out shopping 2026 Cadillacs now to assuage their grief and the Feds will pay quickly to put this one in the rear view. And all because this guy strapped on a gun and headed to some street drama in -5%, spitting on the cops and damaging their cars.

Its been my experience, and I have a lot of it, that a whole lot of these imbeciles are clowning with the cops trying to catch at least a 6 figure ass beating. Its all so easy now what with video and I bet with all the shysters on the fringes with their business cards ready. It started with Rodney King, a doper who became a millionaire until he blew it all at Vegas and on dope.

lol You gotta get your digs in
It's not digs. It tryin' to get you to see the truth of the matter.

This BS goin' on is 100% caused by the idiots fighting ICE.
....and fanned by those with TDS looking for anything they can use to say Trump's fault. It's asinine.

Where tf were they when obozo's ICE was doing the same thing?
Where tf were they when obiden's ICE was also doing the same?

Oh yea, the States and locals worked with them. Ie; see the vid I posted above showing it.

Obozo (aka BJ, aka Black Jesus) went about it differently than T.

Obiden did things differently also.

He was a bit more lax than BJ, and like you said, state & locals worked with them.

lol You gotta get your digs in

Try a little experiment. The next time you are driving down the highway and you see a State Trooper with somebody pulled over up ahead, stop your car behind the Trooper's. Make sure to get it really close to his back bumper to try to block him in - they like that. Get out of your vehicle and run up to him with your cell phone out and start blowing a whistle in his face. Tell him that you are a "professional observer" and are there to make sure no civil liberties are violated. Demand to see his radar if he pulled the person over for speeding. Keep demanding to see his badge number and make sure to remind him every 30 seconds that it is your right to know why he pulled this motorist over. Keep blowing your whistle in his face whenever he tries to interact with the motorist that he pulled over. Make sure you keep your cell phone pushed right up into his face so you get some good closeups.

When you find yourself in handcuffs in the back of his patrol car, make sure you violently lash out kicking the inside of the vehicle, call him Gestapo, and spew threats. After you are booked and released on bail, post a Tik Tok video of this interaction lamenting the fact that back in your day police could pull motorists over and ticket them without going full Nazi and arresting "innocent" fellow citizens.
