Anti-migrant vigilantes plan to block Port of Dover with 'fifty boats' in Channel​

Vigilantes are – once again – attempting to launch a military-inspired operation to bring a stop to migrants crossing the English Channel, after previous efforts failed and infighting tore one leading group apart following The i Paper‘s coverage of their secret plans.

Banned from France after slashing migrant boats last year, one far-right figure is now turning his attention to the English coast.

Daniel Thomas, an associate of Tommy Robinson, is planning to put “50 boats” in the English Channel and lock down the Port of Dover to stop migrants from entering the UK.

ICE reverses plan to use mega-warehouses for migrant detention​

(Bloomberg) -- The Department of Homeland Security is backing away from a controversial plan to turn empty warehouses into immigration detention centers and will keep relying largely on existing jails run by private contractors and state and local partners.

The decision marks a sharp retreat from one of former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s signature immigration initiatives, a proposal that sought to create a network of government-owned detention facilities capable of holding nearly 100,000 immigrants awaiting deportation, with some set to start operating later this year.

Disturbing moment ICE agents in riot gear throw detainee to the ground in Georgia detention facility​

Disturbing footage shows the moment half a dozen ICE agents in full riot gear manhandled and pinned a detainee to the ground inside a Georgia detention center as he frantically screamed ‘I’m being kidnapped by the US government.’

The never-before-seen video, which was leaked by a female whistleblowing former immigration officer, captured the intense exchange between the man and the agents after he claimed he had been unfairly locked up.

Dressed in red prison garb, the detainee repeatedly insisted that ICE had taken possession of his birth certificate and that his father had been a US citizen for 20 years.

Trump admin blocked from blindsiding immigrants at courthouses​

A federal judge has vacated the Trump administration's policy of arresting immigrants at immigration courthouses, finding Immigration and Customs Enforcement acted with a "complete lack of decisionmaking."

U.S. District Judge P. Casey Pitts of the Northern District of California issued the order wiping out both ICE's courthouse-arrest policies and a separate waiver that had allowed the agency to hold detainees in short-term cells for up to 72 hours.

That is so stupid.

When already subject to arrest, you or I (American citizens) can be arrested at any location the authorities may find us.

So why should illegal immigrants (or even regular immigrants) get special treatment that actual citizens don't get?

where can you or I go that prohibits us from being arrested once we become subject to arrest?

Does such a place exist for us, @searcher ?
 

What to know about Houston ICE shooting and other migrant deaths in Texas​

The fatal shooting of a man in Houston by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Tuesday is the latest in a series of migrant deaths while in federal custody or interacting with agents in Texas since President Donald Trump returned to office in 2025.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a man from Mexico whom ICE said was undocumented, was shot after agents attempted to pull his vehicle over early Tuesday, according to an ICE statement. The statement said Salgado Araujo attempted to evade arrest and tried to run over a federal officer.

This is the best report on the latest ICE shooting I've come across. Speaks volumes. I believe marked vehicles, operating dash cams, uniformed agents with id tags on the uniforms, operating body cams and proper training could prevent thing like this from happening.

Men who witnessed deadly Houston shooting say ICE statement is false, attorney says​

Federal officials’ version of what led to the fatal shooting of a man in Houston during an immigration operation this week doesn’t match that of three men detained during the incident, an attorney who spoke with them says.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have said an agent opened fire Tuesday after Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old Mexican national, rammed a law enforcement vehicle and refused to follow verbal commands during a a traffic stop that was part of a “targeted operation.

But the three men who were detained told attorney Hugo Balderas-Ibarra the version of events presented by ICE is false, the lawyer said.

“At no point did they use the van to ram into the ICE agents and at no point were these ICE agents’ lives ever in any danger,” Balderas-Ibarra said in a video posted to his Instagram.

Feds turn over evidence in Renee Good and Alex Pretti killings to Minnesota after months of delay​

Federal prosecutors turned over key evidence long sought by Minnesota investigators in their ongoing probe into the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti during pitched protests against an immigration enforcement crackdown earlier this year, state prosecutors announced Monday.

The progress came as a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot and killed a motorist in Maine on Monday, and Houston prosecutors complained the administration was still withholding critical information in their investigation into a fatal shooting by an ICE officer last week.

New ICE boss, same old lies​

When Kristi Noem was pushed out of her job as the secretary of homeland security and replaced with Oklahoma’s GOP senator — and wannabe MMA fighter — Markwayne Mullin, the public was assured he would make all those pesky problems with Immigration and Customs Enforcement go away.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., described the concentration camp-style immigrant detention centers and the killings of two American citizens during immigration raids as “a little hiccup” and promised a “course correction” under Mullin. The New York Times heralded Mullin’s “warmer and fuzzier tone” during his confirmation hearing as a “sign that the administration wants to project a more moderated approach.” Various Republican leaders praised Mullin as a “good guy” who “likes dogs.”
