During barry soetoro's reign, there were 50 ICE related shootings and the left didn't say jack squat. Nor did they riot when the filthy Kenyan gave Tom Homan a medal for deporting millions of illegals.

That is how you know this is all manufactured outrage.

During barry soetoro's reign, there were 50 ICE related shootings and the left didn't say jack squat.

Your post made me a bit curious so I asked Grok.

Q
I'm interested in learning how many ICE shootings there were during Obama's presidency versus Trumps presidency.

A
Comprehensive, official year-by-year public statistics on ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) "shootings" (firearm discharges in use-of-force incidents) are limited and not fully transparent. ICE and DHS do not release detailed, easily accessible historical breakdowns of officer-involved shootings by year or administration in the same way some local police departments do. Data comes from investigative journalism, FOIA records, DHS summaries, and news compilations.

Key Available Data

The most detailed independent analysis covers 2015–2021(spanning the end of Obama's presidency and most of Trump's first term):

  • At least 59 ICE agent shootings (including two self-inflicted), resulting in 23 fatalities and at least 24 injuries.
  • These occurred across 26 states and territories.
  • Many involved vehicles, public spaces, or off-duty agents; at least a dozen involved unarmed individuals according to the reporting.
  • No ICE agents were indicted in the examined cases.
This period is roughly split as:

  • Obama (through early 2017): Partial data for 2015–2016 (part of the 59 total).
  • Trump first term (2017–2021): The majority of the 59.
Exact yearly splits within 2015–2021 are not publicly detailed in summaries, but the incidents were documented via use-of-force logs obtained through public records requests.

Earlier Obama years (2009–2014): Far less comprehensive data is readily available. Shootings appear to have been less frequently highlighted in major investigations, suggesting lower numbers than in the later period, but underreporting is possible due to limited transparency. No equivalent large-scale tally like the 59 was found for the full Obama era.

DHS Use-of-Force Context (later years for reference):

  • In FY 2022 and FY 2023, ICE had dozens of broader "use of force" incidents (not all firearm discharges/shootings), with a small number resulting in deaths or serious injuries. For example, FY2023: ICE had 78 use-of-force incidents, including 2 deaths.
  • These are much lower than CBP (Customs and Border Protection) numbers, as ICE focuses more on interior enforcement.

Important Caveats

  • "Shootings" here typically means incidents where ICE agents discharged firearms at people (intentional or accidental). This excludes non-firearm force, brandishing, or detainee deaths in custody (separate statistics exist for those, with dozens under both administrations but varying by year and enforcement volume).
  • Numbers are likely incomplete/under-counts, as they rely on reported incidents, media, and partial logs. DHS has been criticized for documentation gaps.
  • Context matters: Some incidents involved criminal investigations (e.g., HSI division targeting drugs/trafficking), vehicle chases, or perceived threats. Others occurred during civil immigration enforcement or off-duty.
  • Enforcement intensity varied: Obama deported large numbers (record highs in some years), Trump emphasized interior enforcement in his first term, and activity surged again in the second term (2025+), with dozens of reported immigration-agent shootings in a short period.
  • Comparisons are imperfect due to differences in operations, reporting, and data availability.
For the most reliable picture, the 2015–2021 tally of ~59 shootings (23 fatal)shows notable activity across both administrations' later/earlier phases, with no major public evidence of dramatically higher numbers under one versus the other in the pre-2025 data. Recent years (especially 2025–2026) have seen heightened scrutiny and tracking due to expanded operations.

If you're looking for specifics on a year, region, or related metrics (e.g., custody deaths vs. shootings), more targeted sources like DHS OHSS reports, The Trace/Business Insider investigations, or FOIA requests would be the next step.

Nor did they riot when the filthy Kenyan gave Tom Homan a medal for deporting millions of illegals.

Q
Did President Obama give Tom Homan a metal for deporting millions of illegals?

A
Yes, during the Obama administration, Tom Homan received the 2015 Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service (one of the highest honors for career federal civil servants).

Key Details

  • Award: Presidential Rank Award (Distinguished Executive rank). President Obama bestows these annually on a small group of top career executives for sustained extraordinary achievement, leadership, and public service. Homan received it as Executive Associate Director of ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).
  • Timing: Announced in late 2015 (for his work up to that point). ICE’s official release highlighted his leadership in removing hundreds of thousands of individuals, including a high percentage of convicted criminals.
  • Context on Deportations: Under Obama, ICE (with Homan in a key role from 2013 onward) conducted large-scale removals. For example, in the years Homan led ERO, removals exceeded 900,000 total, with strong emphasis on criminal aliens. Obama-era interior removals were often higher than in the first Trump term in raw numbers for certain categories, though overall enforcement priorities differed (e.g., focus on recent border crossers and criminals).
Note on the "medal": It is typically a framed certificate signed by the President plus a rank pin (not a physical medal like a military decoration in the common image sometimes shared online, which has been noted as altered or misleading in some viral posts). It is still a prestigious presidential award.

This is well-documented in official ICE/DHS releases, news reports (e.g., Washington Post noting Homan’s effectiveness at deportations), and Homan’s own record. He served across administrations as a career official before becoming more prominent in the Trump era.

Under Obama ICE went about things a lot differently than they go about things today. I think things would go a lot better if they drove marked vehicles, had both dash and body cams, didn't wear masks, had real training like big city cops get and treated people with respect.

-3 million people were deported under Obama (most without seeing a judge)

Most of those were fake deportations used to pad his numbers so he would appear as being tough on illegal immigration.

Ie: turn aways were counted as deportations.

A turn away is simply an illegal who was literally turned away at the time they first attempted illegal entry into the US.

When most people hear the word deportation, they think of the traditional deportation process of illegals who have been rounded up from somewhere within the nation, not simply preventing their entry.

His story doesn't make sense.

First, he says the car required at least two pit maneuvers to cause the driver to actually stop.

Second, he says he was on the third floor of a building, but also says the officer who shot walked right in front of him.

Did the cop take the elevator up to the third floor in order to walk right in front of him?

Search, if an officer has to do two pit maneuvers in order to get a car to stop, that means that the driver has already demonstrated not only an unwillingness to stop, but to have been trying to evade being stopped.

The guys story starts with a description of him seeing the result of a pit maneuver.

That is utterly not true.

The cops are not just randomly shooting people for absolutely no reason.
....and certainly not for the color of their skin.

That is how you know this is all manufactured outrage.
You know it is, cause all the Dems screaming about it used to support all of what ice is doing now, back when a POTUS they liked was doing the same things.

In years past we used to hear of immigration raids pretty regularly.
......and no one from either party ever gave two shits about it.
.....but if Trump has 'em do it, it's treated as though everyone he's deporting is a bonafide saint or something.

There are also vids clearly showing Dems in the pre-Trump era expressing the exact same positions on illegal immigration as Trump has today.
....but now that Trump holds those same positions, they now have changed their position to that of being in favor of virtually unlimited illegal immigration.

Some people simply need to be shot. These vermin knowingly entered a sovereign country illegally and have been living on our welfare for decades. Getting housing allowances, food stamps, SNAP benefits, and free college educations that US students don't even get. All while breeding like rats, defrauding programs meant to help the needy, and driving without licenses or insurance. They are responsible for many drunk driving fatalities. They are criminals and, in many cases, gang members. That's why they try to avoid apprehension. Because they are criminals. No different than bank robbers.

It is well past time for us to rid our nation of this lawlessness and see to it that those welfare benefits help real Americans in need.

Yep. Granny Scandals, the filthy Kenyan, and Crying Chuck Schumer are all on video denouncing illegal immigration. But the problem the democrats have is that nobody wants to vote for them any longer. So, they had to resort to importing a whole new voter class and bribe them with freebies that the American people don't even enjoy.

If President Trump were to come out and say that he was a fan of sweet, sweet oxygen, I think the moron communist democrats would all put plastic bags over their heads to protest it. Wait a minute... I might be onto something.

This is the nature of TDS. It turns people into dumbasses. Look at them defending voter fraud and welfare fraud. They've become completely unhinged.

So the criminals just learned (leared?) that if they simply turn their vehicles into weapons, the federal agents will back off so that they do not have to shoot anybody.

Definitely the wrong decision. ICE simply needs to box the criminals in better so that their vehicles cannot move. Then the windows can be smashed and everyJuan can be dragged out kicking and screaming.

ICE shooting in Maine sparks uproar and puts a spotlight on GOP Sen. Susan Collins

WASHINGTON — The fatal shooting by an ICE officer in Biddeford, Maine, has inflamed the expedited Democratic primary for Senate, with some candidates partly blaming Republican incumbent Susan Collins for voting last month to fund the agency without policy changes.

As Democratic candidates rushed to condemn the shooting, Collins called for an investigation and said Tuesday on Capitol Hill that she has been in frequent touch with Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.

“I had three conversations with Secretary Mullin yesterday. In the third conversation, we discussed the fact that it would be wise for DHS to have a halt in non-urgent traffic stops until we get this straightened out,” Collins told reporters. “We still are awaiting the facts of this investigation. We don’t know exactly what happened, but there are sufficient critical questions to justify bringing non-emergency traffic stops to a halt.”

Under Obama, ICE didn't have a bunch of purple-haired unemployables harassing them while they were trying to uphold the laws of the land. Laws that were passed by democrats. Big difference. All of this screaming and temper tantrums are completely manufactured by the left simply because it isn't their guy doing it. And why should we treat invaders with respect? Frankly, I personally believe that we should take the gloves off. A lot of other people think like I do as well.

Trump says ICE is ‘loved and respected’ in America. Is that true?

“The men and women of ICE are doing a GREAT job, one that has to be done,” President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday, adding: “Remember, you are loved and respected in America.” However, polls show that Americans have grown more critical of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a year marked by four fatal shootings in about six months.

Trump’s post came two days after the death of Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine, and one week after ICE officers shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Texas. Both men were shot in their vehicles, like Renée Good in Minneapolis in January. Her death, and the death of Alex Pretti that same month, coincided with a sharp decline in support for ICE, according to polling at the time.

Three for ICE.

Pretti was Border Patrol.

500 people killed by local PD's and not a peep, but ICE gets three and it's like it's the end of the f'ing World. lol

And all of those people would still be alive today if they hadn't been getting paid to protest lawful immigration enforcement or resisting arrest by federal agents performing their lawful duties.

Absolutely. I would gladly shake their hands and buy them all lunch if I ever got the chance. The communist democrat media set up polls outside abortion clinics and poll weird people with green hair and facial piercings and then try to pass those results off as a "random sampling" of citizens. Only mouth breathers and people dumb enough to vote for Biden buy any of that bilge. They've lied too many times. People see right through it now. And their abysmal ratings show it.

Who is David Brouillette? ICE agent linked to deadly Maine shooting

An Army veteran with a history of violence and serious mental health issues was the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer who fatally shot a 25-year-old Colombian man in Maine on Monday, the Associated Press (AP) reports, citing court records and interviews with his family.

David Brouillette acknowledged in a Facebook call that he killed Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, his ex-wife Ashley Brouillette told the AP.

Their 18-year-old daughter, Madison Brouillette, also told the AP that her father also told her that he fired the shots that killed Durán Guerrero in the Colombian national’s car near his home in the coastal city of Biddeford.

Still doesn't change the fact that if the guy hadn't been in this country illegally he wouldn't have been shot.

In your opinion does the Chevrolet tattoo over her left boob make her more believable?

Nobody wants to be the one to say "these people shouldn't come here". It's unpopular to say anything that indicates racism.

But if you've never been to India or Bangladesh, or Pakistan, or any of the places that many of the new migrants are coming from, you cannot claim to know they will treat the environment like foundational Americans will.

The people from those places I mentioned have NO REGARD for the environment whatsoever.

In every country they have migrated to, they have immediately begun to practice the same slovenly, irresponsible practices they did in their homelands.

In the US, especially Texas, in Canada, in Australia (I can especially vouch for the latter) they are going to remote areas and just dumping huge amounts of waste.

If you don't believe me, or you just think I'm filled with hate for no reason, actually do your homework and check. The evidence is there and it's irrefutable.

North America is irreplaceable. I'm biased of course, but it is the most magnificent land on Earth for natural environment and wildlife.

Part of protecting it is going to involve doing things liberals don't want to do, including telling some people they cannot migrate here in vast numbers.

But we all MUST agree on this. We'll only get one shot at it, and if we fail, we'll see our magnificent rivers turn into the filth-clogged waterways we see in India and elsewhere.

ICE faces backlash after it emerges that Houston father killed by agent did not have drugs in van

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is facing renewed criticism after authorities revealed the Houston father-of-three who was shot dead earlier this month did not have drugs in his vehicle.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52, was killed by an ICE officer while on his way to work around 7am on July 7 after he allegedly tried to evade arrest during a traffic stop.

A search warrant filed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that small, clear plastic bags with white, 'crystal-like substances' had been seen inside the van he was driving.

According to the warrant, the packaging was 'consistent with methamphetamine.'

Drugs or no drugs, if he hadn't tried to evade the federal agents, he would still be alive. He may be heading back to Mexico, but at least he would still be breathing.

The fact that an American college would even consider giving any sort of financial ad to a non-citizen is troubling. They get money from the gov. It should be spent on American citizens only.
