SILVER & PLATINUM Surge on Chinese Premium Gap Ups​

Merry Christmas and a peaceful Holiday season to everyone tuning in. On what should have been a slow Christmas holiday, a shortened trading week became anything but.
Basically, all week we witnessed the combination of China's SGE & SHFE precious metals markets ramp in local premiums paid for silver, palladium, and platinum, respectively.
The spot silver price ripped higher this week, closing extremely bullish at over $79 oz bid.
The spot gold price ended the week at $4,531 oz, a new nominal price high, with a weekly close for gold as well.
The spot gold silver ratio ends this week at 57 oz of spot silver to afford one troy ounce of spot gold.
Capital flows and rotations are coming for precious metals; front-running them is best, rather than being late and overpaying in absolute terms.
Merry Christmas, especially to you crazy uncles out there. As time continues onward, they'll finally figure out you're the best crazy like a fox.
Next time we meet, 2026. Gonna be hard to beat this year.

Silver stacking: buy sell or hold? My answer.​

I dont know if its in the video, I haven't had time to watch it all yet, but the EU has lifted its 2035 ban on combustion vehicle engines until a later date that I dont think has been set yet. And you can bet America isn't going to be enforcing the bans for a good long while since nobody here wants the current generation of EV's. This is very good news for platinum whose price is closely tied to combustion engine exhaust control.

Next generation ? Different story but it will take awhile for them to catch on and even then it wont be a free fall but more of a trickle with high priced models selling and being made first. Anyway it would be best if the market was the controlling factor since mandates and regulations usually end up in confusion , disaster, and high prices. Even Ford Motor Company has lots of EV trucks they can't even give away at under spot; while meanwhile, Their gas powered combustion engined models you'd have to pay over sticker. That is if you can even find one.

Kinda wishing i had not lifted my vehicle…. But we are in a low-theft area for that stuff. Our roads are lousy and snow berms and potholes off the edge are significant so it was practical. Keeps me from having to shovel when it does snow.
 
***Both vids are preaching to the choir as far as the members here but we do have visitors and I enjoyed the vids.

Silver soars after tumbling on Monday, capping 2025 with another wild ride​

  • Silver futures hit a record high overnight to Monday, reaching $80 an ounce for the first time, but gains evaporated.
  • After ending Monday 8.7% down, the white metal was up 5% on Tuesday.
  • Precious metals had a stellar year, driven by industrial demand as well as geopolitics.
Silver futures jumped as much as 5% early Tuesday, continuing 2025′s rollercoaster ride for precious metals.

Silver futures for March delivery were up 5.3% to last trade at $74.17 an ounce at 10:30 a.m. London time (5:30 a.m. Eastern time), bringing year-to-date gains to 153%.

Yes they traded over 100 mil but didn't say how much they sold. That was a total of paper trades along with buys and sells. Still impressive and they are now out of a lot of stuff. They also said there is no shortage of silver. Demand is just very high and the mints have to catch up. Premiums will also be rising.

In the yankee video there was a guy there from Ca buying over 75k worth of metals. Looked like over 50k of that was silver.

I'd say FOMO has arrived.
 
Another HUGE story from that video. Is that NO ONE would take SDBullions trade when they wanted to hedge just 20,000 oz. Think about how FUBAR the markets are if no large trading desk will take such a small relative order.

Gold, silver prices fall after CME raises precious metals margins — again
CNBC

Gold and silver prices lost ground on Wednesday as investors booked profits after a historic annual rally and exchange operator CME Group hiked the margins on precious metal futures for the second time in the space of a week.

Spot gold prices fell 0.8% to $4,313.59 per ounce at 7:50 a.m. ET, extending losses in the run-up to the new year. The yellow metal notched a one-week low in the previous session.

CME Group has increased Silver’s margin requirement by 25%. Silver’s 11% intraday crash on the COMEX was triggered by profit booking after CME Group increased margin requirements for white metal futures on its exchanges by $3,000 for the March 2026 contract, taking the margin to approximately $25,000 from $22,000 earlier.

Tim can be a bit too much sometimes. He is usually a silver bear and despises platinum. He is entertaining, but often gives Yankee a hard time on camera who doubled his business for free.

I'm not into " Coins " at all.

I only invest for the actual Silver content & stick with .9999 Silver. ( I do have some AUS junk Silver, but don't count it in my investments )

What's wrong with these coins ?

I'm just curious :unsure:
