Ive been filling in Libertads nicely as my 2026 project. I have the 1980's decade filled out recently, including the hard to find for some reason 1986 and '87, and Ive found some nice 1990's and other years I have missing sources. The problem isn't as much finding the coins as it is finding them in conditions and prices I can live with. Some are an awful lot of money for one oz of silver. I found a 1998 MS-67 for $2,795.00, mintage 67,000, which I'm awfully tempted on. You just dont see 1998's very often for any price and sub-$3,000 seems fair for a MS67. I'm in no hurry tho.
A couple weeks ago I was in my LCS and they had 5 1st year 1982's that were spectacular for $64 apiece. I bought all five and if graded I'm sure would grade very, very high. They told me they were out of a sealed tube that had never been opened since first bought and 5 were left. I gave two away as gifts and kept 3, I now have 8 1982's but the other 5 are no where close to the condition of these 3.
Its an interesting project to chase even if I have little hope of filling the series out. I can try.
