Mar 6, 2026
We are joined by J. Mintzmyer of Value Investor's Edge to discuss shipping stocks with the current situation going on with global shipping. We examined the container, tanker and bulk sectors and some of the underlying issues affecting the industry. NOTE: For some reason, we had some video quality issues with J's feed. I apologize for the poor quality.

IRAN WAR MARKET SHOCK: Oil, Gold & Stocks React

Mar 7, 2026
As the price of crude oil skyrockets during the Iran Israel US war, what are the effects on Gold, Silver, Stocks and Bonds?
As the price of crude oil futures has the biggest one week jump in history, the yield on the US 10 Year note is rising quickly on inflation fears. Even though crude oil is much higher, silver and gold have not moved in sympathy with this commodity. Is there a reason why gold and silver have not made new highs ?
There are forces acting independent of the Iran war that are affecting the stock and bond markets. I look at the overpriced stock market based on multiple factors. The Shiller CAPE ratio is the second highest it has been since the internet bubble. Friday's Oracle and Open AI news are signs of the cracks forming in the AI datacenter buildouts. The gating of investor funds in Black Rock and Blue Owl Capital are signs that the private credit market is seizing up.
