Costco selling gold and silver bullion

Missoula has a Costco. I don't know about Kalispell, but I'd be surprised if they do not.
I just got back from running some errands which included a quick stop at Costco. They had the new Costco 50th anniversary 5 ozt silver round in the jewelry case:
Wife said she wanted to buy one so I started filling out the paper slip with the item number and such. As I did that, another older gentleman approached and struck up a conversation as he waited on me to get out of the way. He related how he's spent so much money buying gold and silver at that Costco and I had to laugh. I told him the story of my interaction with the Costco manager before they started carrying the gold and silver in the store (manager thought no one at this store would buy any). He is looking at the 10 ozt America 250th anniversary silver round and I tell him the 5 ozt Costco 50th anniversary round is the one I want. You can only buy it at Costco. IMO, it's more likely to be limited mintage and eventually carry a collector's premium. As we are leaving the jewelry case, the gentleman tells me that I've convinced him and he's going to buy some of the Costco anniversary rounds. I wish him well.
Later, I go to the checkout lane and the gentleman was just finishing checkout on another lane as I was getting into line. We reach the cashier, pay for the silver and head to the customer pick up area where we are waiting next in line behind the gentleman. Costco manager comes out from the back and talks to the gentleman a bit and I can't quite make out what's being said, but the manager heads to the register and I can see he is refunding one of the 5 oz coins. Oh no I thought. I approach the manager and ask him if they are sold out of the rounds. He tells me that the gentlemen has bought the last round they have in stock. lol.
The gentlemen steps up and tells the manager to complete the refund on the coin so that I can have it. He had bought several of them and refunded one for the store to have for us. Pretty cool of him.

Alas, the interactions were quick and I didn't think to do that. Had I been there by myself, I likely would have, but I didn't want to bore my wife with an extended conversation. Sometimes I wear my pmbug swag (hat or tshirt) when out and about, but today was not one of those days.
Yeah, I like that about Costco. Things happen FAST...checkout, or whatever.
What was the price per-oz on that round, if you don't mind sharing? I hope it was pretty close to bullion price...I like Costco, but in fifty years, probably no one is gonna remember it. In the late 1970s, where I grew up, there was our local Wholesale Club, an endeavor that got undercut by Sam's Club, and then reopened as a Costco.
But we still had Woolworth's, Grant's and Kmart. Plus of course, Sears...Sears was seldom the cheapest, but their quality was unreproachable, back then.

Now I'm a Gloomy Gus...but when I see something like that, I always think, eventually the buyer or whoever cleans up his estate, is gonna be selling for silver-content value by weight.
Sorry. I just don't have the heart or the eye of a collector. AND...I know now it's not the case here, but I think of all the old people who've been ripped off by "numismatic " coin-sales mills selling at multiples of bullion value. You know, the ones who advertise on Glenn Beck and Mark Levin.
