That ID.me shit from dot gov is OVERBEARING! They just lost me as a customer with it.

As for the ID me.............
If you're on SS, Medicare or VA health care you need it to deal with the. Just the way it is.
I don't have a smart phone just a flip top. Do have several laptops. No matter what I tried they wouldn't take my ID. They did give me a paper to down load and take to my local post office. Downloaded the paper, took it to the post office and they took care of things for me. No cost to me. After that I was able to set up everything. SS, Medicare, VA and Treasury Direct all set up, pretty easy. No probs.
Unfortunately this is what ya gotta do now.
